Consider switching to Blade fall when you can. It has better synergy with our tree, I believe this is level 28. Blade fall is likely the best spell post 28 all the way to level 66+

I love the idea of this build! I'm just hitting the level range now where I can use Bladefall. What supporting gems should I use with it? Thanks!

I level with Bladefall linked to spell echo, conc effect, added chaos.

hi,

i'm leveling a ranger in HC.

as a ranger how i'm supposed to gear?
must i stick with armor gear, or with evasion (lot of evasion node on the pathfinder build)?
sort of unclear in the post, and armor is 50% reduced with acrobatics, so...

far and away my favorite build.

i popped a strongbox, everything insta exploded including the exile, and while blindly looking over item drops, the warband he called forth just burned in the prolif. didn't even know they were there.

you only took 6 points on ascendancy, what are the other 2 points?

so how exactly do you guys deal with mana issues? i mean i have no mana problems against huge packs when they explode you get mana back, but when you fight solo rare or some boss 3 casts and you are out of mana? im testing this is merciless so far im 1 shotting all the packs basically, but i cant deal with rares not even talking about shit like brutus. (and yes i have the spirit void node below duelist but its good for phys damage dealers..) btw why do we not take sniper node?

I'm assuming you went with ranger since you picked up the spirit void cluster - I used a low level mana pot that allowed me to spam kb on single targets while refilling mana slow enough that my mana doesn't go to full. This worked until I picked up enough chaos and damage nodes and levelled gems such that I had enough damage to sustain fully from the mana leech cluster. It's a bit rough when you first switch over but gets much much better as you pick up nodes and level gems.

Yeah im trying to go with a mana pot now too, a bit annoying but oh well. And no, im shadow ive read that he picked shadow - assasin for this league as "best" class. What do you think about sniper node ? im not sure why arent we picking that? Seems like automatic for any projectiles based character 20% projectile speed and 20% projectile damage? sign me up lol.

I think it's because of lack of points - you aim to get as much chaos damage as possible since you mostly do chaos damage. The sniper node would increase the damage of kb but chaos damage increases kb + the explosions from the wands + poison damage. Similarly, you would pick a jewel socket over sniper because you can get % chaos damage and life.

This build clears amazingly well but is somewhat squishy. Your main defence is killing everything before it can hit you - Uber Izaro is super painful since you can't one shot him and he hits like a truck. I'm thinking about using a lightning coil just to survive and have some leeway.
