i feel the same with the frenzy charges (i can barely keep them up and i have no life reg für blood rage), but since i have only a 5 link i hate losing a socket for the poison gem to be honest
kb+gmp+added chaos are set of course, but will i substitute pierce or void manipulation?

Thanks! I agree! I hope that more people can enjoy it. It is my goal to make the build as tanky as possible while keeping the clear speed up and the budget down. I really hope our hivemind can come up with a final product is HC worthy.

To avoid missunderstanding, only the KB explosions get bigger when using aoe-nodes right? They dont affect the obliterate explosions, do they?

The KB explosions get much larger and overlap. This allows multiple hits on targets and multiple poison stacks. This is where the bulk of the damage comes from. As to the Obliterate explosions, it is hard to tell the exact explosion radius, but the damage most certain works and I believe the radius too. AoE is quite important.

Def give the boot to Void manipulation. Pierce is much more important and is close to same level in damage.

***UPDATE*** CI VERSION
So this is what I have come up with thus far for a different, "Tankier" version. This is the CI version I was talking about. This is all theory at the moment, but I am quite confident this will be very good.

Void Beacon/Profane Bloom/Forbidden Power
Main reason to try the switch is to see if 1 obliterate wand + profane bloom is viable. This gains us a shield slot and a lot of ES/defense. It also gives us a power charge generation source. The Elementalist version will do more damage at the cost of ES (The choices for Elementalist would remain the same)

Gear: (This is a downside, more expensive gear is required)
Crown of Eyes
Obliteration Wand
300+ES shield ideally 450+ES with resists and spell damage
600+ES Vaal Regalia ideally 750+ES with resists and 6l
Shadows Dust Gloves or ES gloves (ideally with curse on hit so you dont need to run blasphemy... we need this to trigger profane bloom)
Belt with resists, ES, STR
150+ES Boost with movespeed and resists (ideally Skyforth) and 50% avoid stun enchant
Diamond Rings with resists, ES, accuracy, added chaos craft, % es craft
Neck with resists, spell damage, ES, accuracy, added chaos craft, % es craft
Jewel with crit multi, % damage, ES, chaos damage

What do you mean "need blasphemy" to get profane ?
Is it worth going for all the Area of effect nodes? Do they make the explosion from weaps bigger?

Cause they kinna nerf KB explosions?

Yeah I just gave up doing the build on hardcore.....theres no way to make it viable really without huge sacs to dmg and or clear speed....I mean to do the es one you might as well go get 6 link shavs and legacy gear and make a phys ele wander....whole point was to achieve a fun mobile build with clearspeed and excitement of a 10 ex character for only 1-2 ex. Not possible. and Im so pissed about it I dont even wanna play this shit now.

Try a duelist, my tree has pretty much the same nodes as his. Still stays at 200% life with all the damage nodes plus you get perma fortify.

116 points 189% life, but you can hit over 200 with jewels.

Don't give up yet. My goal is cheap and still is. I absolutely believe it is possible. The build has come a long way in a short amount of time. If I can I will try the CI char on standard for cheap, on a 5l. The reason the CI version will be more money is simply that good ES items aren't cheap, especially crit ones. There is no point in going CI really if you don't have more than 7k life and to keep the damage loss up, I think crit will be nescessary. Some people have been asking me for a higher budget CI version and I wanted to share what I thought would be best.

The duelist version Edzilla has mentioned and a MoM version I'm working on wont raise the cost much, if at all. They are promising.
