What Would You Like (or not like) To See In The Cash Shop?
Self-Resurrect token: Allows you to res. yourself while playing in regular maps. Disabled in pvp, maelstrom/end-game maps, hardcore and ladder, etc.
Details: Basically gives you convenience. You still lose any exp you would have incurred. Shop re-roll token: Allows you to reroll all of the random shop items once. Useable once per level. Details: Not really buying power since you can only use it once per level but good for those who enjoy gambling. Loot drop/quality potions: Gives you a small to moderate boost to loot drops or quality. Details: Not really overpowered since it's already obtainable on regular gear. It'll just add a little bit more (maybe 30-50% or so?). Personalization token: Puts your character's name on a piece of gear. Possibly lets you dye the gear a certain color Details: Similar to the Nithalak quest in D2LoD. Just adds your name to a piece of gear. Perhaps combined with a dye for more incentive? |

" Just add a feature: Right Click on Character Ingame and select "view name changes history" to see all names that that particulary charater has before. 1. You are happy because you can track thereputation etc.. of player even with changed nickname 2. Player XX is happy because he has new shiny (or for example non embarassing etc..) nickname in CharScreen 3. GGG is happy because they can make money on selling this. There is no bad features, there is only bad design. Last edited by Kabraxis#1526 on Jan 11, 2012, 1:45:42 AM

I'm taking this from TF2, but it hasn't been mentioned.
Crates (with item(s) inside) Randomly dropped in game. Needs a key to open, which is bought at the cash shop or traded from someone who bought a key. Of course for PoE, it would contain cosmetic items only. The thing is with crates, some of the stuff found in them aren't available in the TF2 shop. Pros: Rarity is added as a way how something is seen as valuable, other than it being cosmetic. Works ridiculously well, at least in TF2. Downsides are that TF2's F2P + cash shop system works well for that kind of game while in an ARPG it might be a bit different. In TF2, the cosmetic effects are also tradeable, while in PoE, no idea. It would also need a reasonable drop rate, would be annoying if it simply rained crates. Also, not really original ---- Kill Counter Gem/Orb Useless gem that just shows how many players were killed while it was socketed in a weapon. Or if it's an orb, it adds a modifier that shows the amount of players killed with the weapon it's on. Pros: Completely useless Cons: Not quite original either. Might cause people to go crazy with keeping their old weapons with the kill stats, but a gem that can be unsocketed gets around that. Also on VIP leagues, the community there would be closer, there being less people. Another con would be that VIP leagues would be heavily divided, since people might want a hardcore/cutthroat/etc VIP league. Last edited by hydris#5392 on Jan 11, 2012, 11:37:30 PM

i defiantly agree with the id scroll purchase or an id gem of some sort and re spec tokens, cosmetic item sale is a really good idea too it will make players characters feel more personalized and original while making money for GGG
I like to Party.

Made the list easier to spot out things already added so they stop suggesting them =P

Considering that they said that Cash Shop will not give any advantages over other people,i'd say exp/drop boost goes out the window.
As for full respec/respec orbs on cash shop: Imo this would be bigger advantage than any other thing you could possibly imagine, especially considering how much passives affect the character. The whole ''plan/think before do'' would be automatically removed. Also the item crates suck, that's like buy-able loot.....since when do we play chinese mmo? People with shitloads of cash could just buy millions of them and never really party up for loot or whatever. All in all,the said cosmetics, how exactly exp/drop boost potions, item chests,or respect scroll/potion is cosmetic? No rest for the wicked. Last edited by Daiena#7638 on Jan 12, 2012, 2:34:00 AM

Here are my thoughts. I’m downloading the beta now and haven’t played yet so please keep that in mind.
Item: Respecialization I think you need to be very careful about this one so I’ll start here. Having a high cost to respec dramatically limits experimentation which limits fun. Every gamer I know likes to try out different skills and none of them like to be stuck with a skill that fails to meet their expectations. I understand that some gamers don’t like the idea of respecs being “too easy”, but on the other hand if the cost is too high then players are likely to end up in a situation where they feel restricted and ultimately are dissatisfied with their characters. Some of those players will be willing to pay for respecialization, but how many others will lose interest and move on to another game? Having a high respec cost also creates a situation where spending skill points can seem like a burden due to the amount of research you need to do in order to make sure that you’re making the right choice. I almost always end up “point hording” which probably isn’t the way developers intend for me to play their games. The trend of the biggest upcoming MMO titles is to allow for free swapping of skills. I’m guessing that this is in response to player feedback so it is probably worthwhile to keep in mind. My gut says that PoE would be best if respecialization was free or very inexpensive so players could experiment with all the cool skills that the developers have worked so hard to put in the game. If you do charge for respecialization then I highly recommend keeping the price low (e.g., around $1). Item: Vanity Items Yes! Some people buy these types of items because they are fun, while others buy them just to support the developers. Most who buy them probably do so for both reasons. Item: Exp Boosts Sure. But then again I don’t care about ladders. Item: Drop Rate Boosters Need to try the game first. Item: Random Mod Boosters (from crafting etc...) Need to try the game first. Item: Scrolls Need to try the game first. Item: Extra Stash Pages Sure, but try to avoid having the default stash size being overly restrictive. I don’t think it is a good idea to intentionally design inconveniences into a game with the hope that some players will pay to remove the inconvenience. Item: Character Slots Not sure why you would charge for this. Allowing multiple characters on the same account should make it more likely for players to buy cash shop currency because they have more characters to spend the money on. I discourage you from creating a situation where players need to create separate accounts for each character. I recently played an MMO that had a one-character-per-account setup. I never invested in that game’s cash shop because I didn’t know which one of my characters I would end up playing the most. I suppose you could allow cash shop items to be sent to other characters, but why? Item: Emotes Yes! Same reasoning as vanity items. Item: Megaphone Sure. Like you said they seem to sell well in other games. One possible advantage is that gold farmers don’t buy them so at least you have one bot-free channel. Item: Resurrection Token I’ve tried these in other games and I like them. I love a challenge and what I found is that these items allow me to try even more challenging content because death was more forgiving. Also, resurrection tokens have been very reasonably priced whenever I’ve seen them (typically ~$0.05) which makes them easy to justify. Item: Shop Restock Need to try the game first. Item: Item Rename Yes! No harm in having it so why not? Item: Character Renames Sure. Just make sure that you are able to track characters internally if a player changes their name. Also, make the price high enough so players aren’t likely to abuse it. This gives somebody a second chance if they’ve made a bad name for themselves. If the player doesn’t clean up their act then a bad reputation will be associated with the new name and the player will be out their money. Item: Custom League Options Need to try the game first. Item: VIP Server Yes!!!! I love the idea. How about charging enough so that you can afford to give away some of the above items for free while on the VIP server. For example, respecialization, world chat, and an extra stash page would be free while on the VIP server. Item: Random Chance Buys Sure. I don’t buy these, but some players love them. Some other ideas: 1. Better potions. These provide the same effect as standard potions, but also give a buff that is appropriate to the potion type. For example, a “cash shop” health potion returns health when used and increases health by 10% for 30 seconds after its use. 2. Non-combat pets. I especially like pets that give meaningful buffs (which you could disable in certain areas if needed), but I think that any type of pet would be a success. 3. One or more gear slots for items that could only be purchased in the cash shop. Rings, amulets, trinkets, whatever. Can’t wait to try out the beta. Download is almost done! |

Im a F2P and i guess i will be (maybe i change my mind) but as far a players can`t get, equipment, stat boost, skill point, enchantment boost for items, i am happy, i have no problem whit xp boost, drop boost, i can get my own whit the normal rates, and reseting pasive is great, if your f2p you just need to be more careful, and ppl can still reset they pasives.
1 more thing, make cash shop items TRADEABLEEEE!!!! so P2P buy many items just to trade them, GGG gets money, P2P can trade for goodies and F2P gets P2P`s Items. PLOX Do that. every one wins that way |

" The Item Crate idea is for cash shop items only, not loot. |
|
just 1 thing. dont make this game pay to win.
