[2.3]CI Bladefall BOOM BOOM mines with poison, Tri-curse, deathless uber at 82. Affordable.
" agree with both. for atziri won't be a problem the new mechanic but probably we have to invest more time to practice how to hit :P. although the new mechanic at least let you "select" the target. many times the mines hit the wrong mob otherwise, you can always do a op trap bladefall setup and will be nerf :P |

I'll be relying on my friends for leveling/mapping and I'll support them with curses and boss kills. I think trapper is non-viable for this build because it's too hard to get the required trap nodes as an occultist, and I don't think we can afford the loss of survivability. I did some testing on a 5l without Trap and Mine Damage (and we do more damage than that), and it still seemed decent. I just think that Spell Damage Gloves (new base) and spell damage on shield are more essential now than before. Build seems more forced into boss-killing but that's what we're playing it for anyway. Looking forward to playing it on the league.
edit: Trap just got the nerf hammer. +1 for mines. Last edited by d3sden0va#5215 on Sep 2, 2016, 12:37:51 AM

bummed about the poison scaling...for people who are unaware, this is straight from the forum page:
Support Gem Balance: Remote Mine's damage modifier no longer affects damage over time. Trap's damage modifier no longer affects damage over time. RIP Poison Last edited by Weltall600#3865 on Sep 2, 2016, 11:06:20 AM

So does that mean un-select damage over time nodes and replace poison with ???
|
|
so the other gem links like controlled destruction or others wont affect poison either? and the talent points? the pure chaos damage ones..not the dot ones...will they still affect poison?
so what the patch notes are saying is that poison wont be taking is percentage dmg directly from the bladefall linked to remote mine? will we still be able to poison mobs with bf or its unusable? sorry for being too slow Last edited by Yusukeirinel12#2534 on Sep 2, 2016, 4:40:21 PM

From my initial test, the dmg nerf is unnoticeable at normal atziri. I run 14.3k unbuffed tooltip dmg (21.5k with flasks) and it kills her just like before, which should prove it can kill other lesser bosses just like before. It surely becomes noticeable at uber atziri.
The real deal killer is the targeting nerf. Now, half of the damage hits behind the mine, and half in front of it. Feels completely rekt and the only way to kill mobs effectively is by placing a mine in the middle of them, which completely ruins all safety of this build. Also, causes big issues in uber atziri (maybe normal too, depending on gear) fights, by not being able to place mines in safe places and count on the targetting to hit atziri, but having to place them near her, which could be a zone full of her flameblasts / storm calls, etc. Although this build is usually used for boss kills, Atziri, Izaro, we should not overlook the rest of the map until we get to them. I run 12.3k ES (cut some from 14.5k, in order to play the coated shrapnel version, which now is completely necessary, in my opinion, to have decent damage after the nerfs) and uber atziri trash mobs could 5 or 6 shot me before, since we have no mitigation whatsoever (not taking resistances into consideration, which should always be maxed, but even so), only relying on curses, those mobs could prove troublesome sometimes, they hit hard and now, after nerf to targetting, it's a whole LOT more dangerous. Going in the middle of them to place the current mines is definitely out of the question. Placing them from range is out of the question too. Only way is to go near them, place quickly, detonate, hope to kill as many of them and not die in the meantime. I am not exagerating, these are uber mobs i'm talking about and i have run uber atziri many times. Same level of uncertainty goes for tier 15 maps, not to mention the newly arrived tier 16 bosses, who hit like trucks, or even the shaper. You don't want to be anywhere near them when using this build, but now you have no choice. Grab on tight to those vaal disciplines when mapping, don't be afraid to use them if you can still recharge them before bosses (i'm using 4 of them), prepare for the need to make close-to-suicidal plays and hope for the best. Overall, i consider this build (coated shrapnel version) a still great izaro and normal atziri killer, with glaring, but overcomable uber atziri issues (still better than regular, non-chaos using builds) and not yet defined t16 boss kill potential. " thanks for the reply, i'll test the build now edit: agree the new mechanic is the main problem now, you need to place mines with more strategy and near mobs. for clear maps is still great, very atziri viable. need a hope to try uber atziri so i'll update this later. is a bit harder to kill bosses (curses nerf + poison nerf + hit chance) but still possible i think edit2: uber viable yet but hard. died 5 times . with more practice could be viable deathless yet.
Spoiler
unfortunately, 4th mask in a row :( so bladefall mines isn't dead guys Last edited by Abax11#3541 on Sep 3, 2016, 5:48:51 PM
