[2.3]CI Bladefall BOOM BOOM mines with poison, Tri-curse, deathless uber at 82. Affordable.

So, I've been running this build and finally specced into CI. When I did that, I figured I should get a second Vaal Discipline. I thought it would give me two charges as I killed enough baddies, but it doesn't seem to. Do they need to be the same Gem Level or am I mistaken in how it should work?

Thanks!

you get 1 soul per enemy killed, if you got both of them socketed it'll be random to which the souls go to.

If you mean that once you use it they both go down that's because you allocated the same one to both keys. If they're both different level its easier to differenciate the 2 of them by just looking at how much energy shield they give.

So for short just make sure you don't have the same one allocated to 2 keys.

Ahhhh, there we go, that explains it. I thought I could just get 2 or 3 charges on the same key.

Thanks!

maybe he did the lvl 20 -> lvl 1 20% qual with 1 gcp recipe.

imo bladefall, blasphemy, temp chains are very good. some arent so important but useful. most of the 6 link helps slightly in some way. 10% increased poison duration for example might not be necessary, but it can help if you are just a bit under the dmg of killing atziri. they all add up. even attack speed quality on whirling blades makes it faster, or mine laying speed on remote mine. check out the wiki and see.

the 100% useless in all situations ones are probably Vaal Discipline, Cast when Damage Taken, Immortal Call, Minefield.

fairly bad are Stone Golem, Remote mine, Rallying Cry, vaal lightning trap

Spoiler

Did this build last season in Perandus after a Heretic's Veil dropped for me while mapping. Overall it was a very smooth experience. Did every mod there was (except blood magic) and every tier in maps and never came close to dying. I would say this build can do all content very safely with the exception of core Malachai. Did many Uber runs and all were very safe and deathless. One shotting the Vaal's as soon as they come up is a great feeling. I think my only gripe with this build would be the clear speed which is quite slow, but it is pleasant to not feel the need to rush through maps to keep charges and etc. up.

Besides the Heretic's Veil (which dropped for me), this build was very inexpensive. I spent a little under 2 exalts getting all the gear I had, most of which is pretty ghetto. My chest in particular was very cheap (little under an exalt) which is why it is not very good if you look at it. I just went on poe.trade and looked for a cheap, passable 6-link ES base white chest and chaos spammed. Even with bad gear like mine this build is very safe. Don't skip on the jewels, they make a huge difference. Make sure to make mine damage a priority and then next area damage because those are your biggest damage boosters due to double dipping mechanics. With the gear and jewels I had I hit 9k tooltip dps on minefield bladefall and it went up to 17.5k with conc effect. Overall this build was a very enjoyable experience. It was nice to one shot just about every boss.

Good luck to anyone who is trying this build this league, I'd be happy to answer any questions if there are any.

Are you using jewels? If so, what affixes do they have? Remember, prioritize area damage and mine damage on jewels as they double dip. After that you could go for %ES but I found i was safe enough to go increased physical damage for even more dps.

Also, are you using Bino's? If so, you won't get nearly as high of a tooltip dps compared to if you use a spell damage dagger. I found the regen and poison prolif on Bino's rarely procced because mobs would die to the initial bladefall so I found it not too useful.

Also, the biggest thing is a level 21 bladefall. I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH. One more level on bladefall will add thousands of dps to your tooltip because of how much base physical damage gets increased. This will be the single biggest increase in dps you can get in the late game. So to anyone doing this build, consider leveling more than one bladefall gem (I held 6 extra on weapons in my weapon swap slots) so that you have many bladefall gems to attempt to corrupt when they get level 20. This will save you 2-3 exalts if successful.

Anyways, 7.2k tooltip with minefield isn't that low and should still be enough to one shot the vaal's, but still aim to get it a bit higher if you can.

I'm having a blast with this build. I think anyone who feels it's slow isn't running 25% ias on his/her weapon and the ias node darkee picked (His lvl 93 witch). With those your WB gets to around 1.12s and you just blaze through around. Drop move, drop move , drop move ,detonate repeat.

Yes but just the action of dropping mines is slow. This build isn't that slow, but in a clear speed focused meta it is nothing compared to the fastest builds. Getting around isn't the problem, placing mines is. Attack speed won't fix that. Go watch videos of old VMS scold's or even current shield slam. Those are the clear speeds I'm relating it to.

And trust me, I was hitting faster times than that in my whirling blades. Like I said, you're not moving at a snails pace but it doesn't compare to clear speed centered builds, and I wouldn't expect it to because this is an Uber killing build, of course it won't compare, and there's nothing wrong with that.
