cyclone AS vs MS

If I have 3 attack per second it mean I will do 3 spin per second = 6 aoe hits?
4 aps = 8 aoe hit, 5 aps = 10 ... per cast?

From wiki :"Cyclone spins at the player's attack speed and deals area of effect damage twice per spin."

I understand it like that: attack spped decides spin speed, and each spin is 2 attacks so yes, 3 attacks per second means 6 aoe hits per second
