I made a first post with a build.
The idea was good but in front of Izaro in normal, i was a tiny bit too squishy.
So i adapted the build to kill him while some people were whining on the forum.

The labyrinth

At some time, the traps were easily killing me.
I had few life much more ES. Once ES down, the life potions were too weak to keep me alive.
I looked for informations while some people were whining on the forum.
Traps deal an amount of damage that depends on your total life+ES.
Wich mean :
1- If you are a glasscanon, life potion are extremly strong on you. I'm not a glass canon.
2- If you have a lot of life regen, the effect is slightly lower. I'm playing a shadow. The node that transform life regen in Es regen is too far.
3- If you're a big bag of life without regen, life potion are weaker but still usefull.
4- If you're only based on ES, you have nothing to survive in a trap but you can regen fast once out.

I choosed the adaptation and used the game mechanics as much as i could.
I'm actually lvl81 and immune to the spike traps.



What this build gives :

- Immunity to any sort of dmge reflection.
The mechanic is "you cast the trap, the trap cast the spell".
- Midle range character
- +15% mve speed without any stuff
- 31% resist all without any stuff
- Immune to chaos dmge (CI)
- A lot of crit
- Good mana regen
- Ultra cheap (< 15c)
- Tough -> more than 280 flat base bonus, more than 200% ES increase, 15% more ES
- Extremly tough -> starting ES rgn and faster ES rgn maxed
- Spike traps immune
- Elemental Equilibrium immunity


The spells :

1- Shock Nova - Trap - Multiple traps - Light.pen << badass aoe that clean ultra fast.
2- Fire trap - Multiple traps - Increased.crit.strike - Increased.crit.multiplier
3- Cold snap - Trap - Increased.crit.strike - Increased.crit.multiplier
The 1st one clean very fast because of high crit and high chance to proc shock effect.
The 2nd one is amazing when you need to hit and run.
The third one is great for single targetting. Its high chance to freeze is a pleasure.
Fire Trap and Cold snap are over 50% chance to crit.

4- Summon Chaos golem and whatever in support gem. Actually he got culling strike. I may try Blind later.
5- Lightning warp. In the labyrinth, you're immune to spike traps. You just need to be able to cover large distance to dodge moving traps when its possible. It's often usefull in maps too.

6- Supports gems : Discipline, blasphemy+enfeeble, clarity lvl10.


The required stuff :

You need 2 Jewels "Energy From Within". 10% or more on the roll worth 2c.
Your mana regen is high enough to wear the gloves Voidbringer. 8c for a good roll.
You need the weapon HeartBreaker. 2c for a good roll.
You need 14c tp buy the whole.

You need 1 jewel that got the "faster start of energy shield recharge" trait. Mine give 6%.


The build :

You're a trickster.
Bandits -> more resistance and skillpoints 2 times.


After lvl81 ?
16 nodes that increas ES are available : The wheel near the scion, 3 nodes life/mana near the witch, 2 nodes ES/EV, 3 nodes ES at the top left of the tree.
That's a total of +20 Es, +100% ES and +22% mana.
I'm intending to take the nodes life/mana first, the wheel near the scion in second, the top left nodes in third and the ES/EV nodes at the end.


ES explanation :

Any character that doesn't improve its ES got the following traits :

1- The regen start 2 secs after the last point of dmge suffered.
2- The regen is 20% max ES per second.
3- Any dmge stop the regen.
>>> To go from 0 to 100% ES, you need to wait 2secs before starting your regen and the full regen will take 5 secs.
It takes (5+2=) 7 secs to regen a full shield.

With the build, the trickster, heartbreaker and the jewel (+6%) :

i'm reaching +51% faster start.
The formula is : 2 / ( 1 + faster star bonus ) = 2 / 1,51 = 1,32
It means that the starting regen occurs 1,32 secs after the last point of dmge.

125% faster regen means that i regen 125% faster.
Instead of 20% max ES regen / sec, i have 45% max ES regen / sec.
It means that once the regen start, you need 2,22 secs to gain 100% of your ES.

1,32 + 2,22 = 3,54
It takes 3,54secs to regen a full shield.

Impact of the trickster and the stuff :

Without the trickster, heartbreaker and the jewel, the build give you 15% faster start and 125% faster regen.
You'll regen your ES as fast but you'll have to wait 1,74 secs before the start of the regen.
1,74 + 2,22 = 3,96.
Without them, it would takes 3,96 secs to regen a full shield.


Consequences IG :

1- You're immmune to spike traps in the labyrinth. You can stay on a spike trap and go shoping. At your return, you'll be alive at the very same place.


2- the almost half a second before starting the regen change the deal.
Running away 1,32secs is easy, doing the same thing 1,74secs is a lot harder.
In 1,32secs, you can just manage to go behind a wall or a pillar and get some regen... In 1,74secs, the mobs will be on you again.
0,42secs of difference means 18,9% of shield already regen.


My stuff :

I have only 4LS and with the exception of the required uniques, i really have nothing amazing.
At lvl81, i have less than 10k ES despite the enourmous amount of ES bonus provided by the build.

so far a good build i like where its going

few notes

you should pick up EE as using tri traps will help with damage all around
make a video showing the mechanics of the build
have a gear section showing whats viable for the build and what to look for in self found gear

but other wise great build so far very fun to play right now

i was gonna wait till higher lvl to change over seems to be running good the way i just posted asking him bout the build also i added a diamond flask to my arsenal goes quicker with crits all the time even with all the crit added with nodes

Yep - but what level exactly? Did you switch to CI before entering the labyrinth (normal)?
Really want to play ES Trapper but as Saboteur because i feel like chain reaction is too good to leave out. Do you think this build could work without trickster?

It could with sunblast+reduced duration gem, making your traps going off instantly.
