Help! Shadow Version of Cripp Wander?

Okay. Before you call me an idiot I want everyone to know I TRIED, lol. I took my lvel 45 Shadow, and traded 15 chaos orbs + exalted orb for regrets, and completely redid him because I wasn't having fun. I work 50 hours a week and already have 3 chars I didnt want to start over but became convinced wander was awesome.

This is my Wanding SHADOW: (Note: I noticed a lot less HP nodes, I also notice less All RESIST nodes. I picked up ice/cold/fire walker for the resist and elemental dmg. However still have less life)

Now. I know Cripp's Wander is heavily gear focused. But I figured oh Im at the end of cruel how bad can it be, I can group. Well I went from (700-800 dps) with my old bow build I just destroyed to 189 DPS now. I used every currency I had to redo the passives/alch orb some gear. This is the best wand I got (note: again, lvl 45)




I have about 1K Life, Decent Resistances and 550 Mana @ lvl 45. However my DPS sucks absolutely terrible. I'm starting to think I bit off more than I can chew trying to do my own thing and now dont even want to log in. Damnit. Any advice?

Not exactly the best advice considering 75% of the main passives in kripp's build are build up.

CI, Static Blows, Same Wand nodes, etc. It's not thatt far off.

i think my problem is 75% gear related.

Its generally an INCREDIBLY dumb idea to go with kripp's wander build (no offense :P).
The reason is that few people realise just how pointless the build is without really and I do mean REALLY good gear.

If you don't have that, any of the other popular builds will be a lot stronger.
If I were you I'd just roll an easier character.

- You don't need spell damage with a wander build (2 points lost here)
- You'd better go for something like this:
If you can reset skill points. But still not as good as kripp's wander build
- Yes, without good gear it sucks. Solution? Use spells or anything else until lvl ~60 or until you find good gear.
Freezing pulse + LMP/GMP is great for this build.

when going shadow and thinking about wander spec.


Think about Etheral Knives instead, more powerful throughout the game, only end game does it get dangerous, aka killing yourself to reflect.

u need all three auras with + ele dmg and tons of ele modifier skill nodes my lvl 75 shadow wander uses those items for his dps anything other than he equips for survivability has about 3,1k hp and full resist but no decent armor or eva. single target dps almost 5k 3k with lmp

You don't really need hatred if going with ele siphon build, you won't do much phys dmg so there will be almost no cold dmg that could scale off, and as "40%" auras you should use determination and haste for more benefits (purity+haste if not capped on resists).

P.S. No offense, but that wand is quite bad.

Another thing, if all the other gear is for survivability, then what the heck do you have equipped if u have only 3.1k hp and no armor/ev?

Don't be discouraged. The build doesn't shine until higher levels with good gear. Even for templar based ones it's an uphill struggle. Fill out the hp % nodes first, those elemental damage nodes won't do very much considering you'll still have low level wrath and anger. Also don't waste currency crafting stuff for a level 45. Even the best stats will not give you a massive benefit because you lack passive points. Save the currency for end game gear. I generally won't craft anything unless it's a 65 or higher item, rings and amulets being the exception.

Sorry to say this, but your starting nodes are simply atrocious. Grab projectile damage instead.
