One thing to note is that pendulum of destruction will NOT increase your degen from righteous fire. Damage increases only effect the damage done to your opponents, not the damage you do to yourself. It used to, but they changed that a long time ago (patch 1.0.2)

Something definitely was changing my life degen effect and it corresponded perfectly with the ascendancy timer so feel free to take what I said with a grain of salt. Either way, if I could go back with all that I learned about the build, I'd probably opt for those two 10% elemental damage nodes instead. YMMV
