[2.1] Acrobatics Essence Drain - beginner friendly, cheap, all maps viable, easy atziri

gonna give this build a shot as i been meaning to test an essence drain build. i play HC so ill see how it fairs in that setting

so for gear if we arent going all evasion stuff, is phase acro "safe" i guess since it reduces all the armor and es by 50%. should i bother with a granite or jade flask?

i just found a belly the other day so thats a few ex saved to invest in other gear if i like the build. nice guide, keep it up

edit: oh i also wanted to ask about the hexmaster notable...did u find it was very good and worth it? i was thinking of investing those points into the shadow start phy/chaos nodes but i wanted to hear ur opinion. thanks again!

I dont think granite or jade is good idea. There are much better flasks. I forgot mention it, so will do it now:

1, Forbidden Taste - Pretty necessery for life build as mine. It helps so much in dangerous situations. If you have good chaos resist, it is perfect choice.

2, Rumi's Concoction - Although I have only 2/3 block chance thanks to acrobatics, it is pretty good with dodge chance.

3, Taste of Hate - If you are afraid of physical damage. But I really dont need this.

I just tested it. It is not very big difference, hardly notable. But I took it, because I have 2 curses as auras. As soon are enemies slowed, as better I think. Mainly on HC. But this shadow nodes are fine too. If you need dmg, you can take them insted of hexmaster. I will add screens with difference tomorrow.

Thanks for the build, liking it so far. I do have a question and a tip for anyone else playing it though.

My question: Right now I'm lvl 54 and am having issues sustaining mana, what were you doing to sustain mana while leveling since you don't take any mana nodes till the final tree?

My tip for anyone playing this build is to turn on enemy mini health bars. This helps me to know which enemies I've hit with Contaigion so I know what to target with essense drain/wither.

Untill I pick up Temporal Chains I run Clarity.


Another tip (actually from the youtube video): link wither with a spell totem, that way you can plop down a spell totem when you see rares/uniques in a pack, quickly stacking the wither debuff on them.
ya im 61 atm and im using clarity for mana issues and it is fine. im still only using 1 curse atm (vunerability). and yes spell totem to wither is a must imo.

Running this build and love it so far. It fucking wrecks everything.

My question is, why wouldn't you grab the aoe nodes in the witch area early on? It'll help with contagion pretty well and it'll increase the aoe of your curses for just a few points
1 Additional Curse for what? Im noob player, new to the game kinda...
i am not very swift here, so can someone tell me where the endurance charges are coming from for the immortal call spell? i can't seem to find it on any of the gear or spells he's got listed.

IC has a base duration of 0.4 seconds. Endurance charges increase this duration. So you do not need endurance charges to use IC, it will just stay at it's base duration.
