[2.2 HC Self-Found Guide] Self-cast Non-crit Bladefall! Beginner Friendly, Full Walk-through
" Thank you for reading the guide :D I do pick up two jewel sockets on the level 92 tree posted. I picked up the jewel sockets very late game because personally as a self found player, it is hard to get well rolled jewels until late game for my first character of the league. If you use trade, or if you are making this build late in the league, I would suggest picking up the jewel sockets earlier, as well rolled jewels are very powerful. Here are the two jewels I used for this character The main stats you want to look for while rolling jewels for this character are % life, %energy shield %spell damage, %physical damage, and % area damage. the stat %physical damage rolled on a weapon will only affect the local physical value of the weapon. the amount of physical damage that our weapon does will not affect the damage of our bladefall in any way since bladefall is a spell, not an attack. On our weapon, the most important modifier that will increase the base damage on the bladefall spell gem is % spell damage. % cast speed, is also a good stat to roll since faster casting equals more mobility and more damage per second. "Adds x-y cold/fire/lightning damage to spells" will also increase our damage, but is not as important since it will not scale well with our physical damage nodes on the tree. Hope this helped, and feel free to ask more questions! www.twitch.tv/hanarashi

" I am planning to make another guide for one of the characters I am running this league, once I polish up my characters a little more. I decided to change it up a bit and play softcore this league, so will most likely be a softcore guide this time. If you have any suggestions for what Perandus character I should make a guide for (you can see my characters under my profile), or any suggestions on how to make my next guide better than this one, let me know :D www.twitch.tv/hanarashi

This is one of the few of guides, that are guides and not virtual **** comparision like the most ....
Good work. The Way to Hell is paved with good intensions.

Thanks for the detailed guide. I am a seasoned SC player, but I feel like trying HC. This looks like a good build to start my journey!
I played a little yesterday, and HC_Harriet_MkOne has just hit level 20! Going to progress to Act 3 Today. Wish me luck :) PS- What level would you recommend attempting the labyrinth? Last edited by Minsc_N_Boo#6802 on Apr 30, 2016, 9:42:58 AM

" Thanks for reading the guide, and I wish you best of luck in Hardcore! This league I'm actually taking a break from the hardcore playstyle, and playing softcore, so I haven't experienced the lab in a hardcore league environment yet. The ascendancy points are not that crucial for this build, so no hurry in doing the lab. If I personally were to relevel this build in the new HC league, I would probably not worry about the labs until level 75+, and then do them all at once to get the small bonus to the build. If you want to do the labs as you go, I would say go back to each of the labs after finishing the corresponding difficulty (normal, cruel), and do merciless lab level 75+. Warning though, traps can be super unsuspecting sometimes so be extra extra careful in HC! www.twitch.tv/hanarashi

Thanks - Level 40 Act 4 at the moment. This build seems like it will be good for my first attempt :) The only scary moment I had was doing one of the trials. Traps are very scary!
I think I'll take your advice on the labs and skip it till (or if!) I get to endgame. *edit for update* - Just made it to Cruel. I over leveled by 4 levels for Malachi, and it was one of the easiest fights i have had with him. I have been using zombies and flame totem for back up, and with the support I made short work of him. I got my "Fearless" steam achievement at last :D Last edited by Minsc_N_Boo#6802 on May 1, 2016, 11:19:47 AM

Excellent build for hardcore leagues.

Would this build at level 35/36 be able to efficiently farm Labyrinth? I'm in Hardcore and am a bit worried about my first run through

" Thanks for reading the guide! Sadly, the leveling progression of this particular build for me was before the ascendancy update came out, so I can't give you a sure answer about the labyrinth while leveling. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I highly recommend saving the labyrinth for later game, since this character does not make much use of her ascendancy points until she makes the switch from life based to hybrid. If you are wanting to farm the normal labyrinth for something other than points (items, enchants,) I'm pretty sure the character wouldn't have too hard of a time completing the lab near the lab level, since she has a fairly easy time with bosses and progression during normal/early cruel in general. Since it is hardcore though, I would suggest avoiding the risk of death and save lab for later game. www.twitch.tv/hanarashi
