Yes, but with hidden potential and all blue (magic) gear, which has its downsides. I'll add something about that in the guide.

What do you mean is it still viable? Why would it not be "still" viable? What has changed in the 5 weeks since this build thread was posted? :D

Hey , I have spent the last couple weeks now building up my CA ranger in hardcore talisman. I mostly play slow and take my time, and I am pretty happy with my results so far. Im wondering if you can take a fresh look at my gear and tree and give me any advice on how to improve from here

I have 5300+ life with the unique helm and 5500+ with the rare. I have 75 all res and 73 or 75 chaos res depending on helm

Im real happy with that part, I just want to know where I should go from here? I dont really like the fire traps, im too lazy for them so i just added more vaal grace and haste, plus 2 different immortal call setups. maybe you can suggest better use of my sockets? here is my tree and my gear, and im currently working on adding the extra frenzy charges as i level

Using Devoto's is a waste, you're better off using a rare helm. You gain nothing from attack speed.

An IC-CWDT setup is a nice thing to do with your extra sockets, boosts your survivability a bit.

As for the tree, nothing special to add there. Go for franzy charges and take Piercing Shots.

how the hell do you get so much dmg on this build?

I followed this build and have only 7000 tooltip dps.....

Ok yea i forgot about piercing shots. The devoto's was self found and i kind of just worked it in for the move speed and phys reduction, plus i can get the 3r 1 g sockets for increased duration with it. ill go back to my rare helm though.


As for the dps, i think mine is like 9300 DoT on tooltip. thats the part that does the main damage. you boost it with DoT nodes jewels and the +3 bow and +3 empower, each level of CA adds more.

This is also easy to respec the tree if you want to use a different skill in hardcore mode. If I were to get my hands on a voltaxic i may try respecing off the DoT nodes and using LA for a change. The rest of the tree can pretty much stay the same
