This thread seems dead but I have a question someone can hopefully answer...

I finally dinged 68 and set up all my auras...with Wondertrap boots I'm not low life! I'm not getting 100% increased rarity :( why?

In temp league, you're looking at roughly 30/350 without Div pot( if I could get the Wondertrap booots to register...). Theoretically good but I'm also finding the clear speed BLEH.

It will take hours to level Totem up more. In that time I could be wrecking face on another build clearing 4x faster. I don't know anymore.

You've taken more reduced mana reservation than the builder did. That additional 8% from the Sovereignty wheel most likely put you over the low life threshold.

I will agree that the clear speed is a bit slow, but I myself am not aware of any other MF builds other than bow ones that allow for this setup. Then again, I've made a number of changes.

I figured as much but thought I was following his build...

Thanks.

Edit: in fact I know I did. The build linked on page #1 is flawed. You will not be low life with all those reduced mana reservation nodes. Removing 2x 4% nodes puts me at low life.
Sovereignty is on the way to Ancestral Bond so IMO that should stay as it's most efficient. The other 4% nodes have to go, and that frees up half a dozen points or mor.
OP, you need to fix the tree :P

Correct. That's just one of the changes I made.
You didn't make a change though. The build still shows each and every reserved mana node taken, which is too many. I just checked. It's the same flawed build.

Are you sure? Look again at the build and my gear.

I was sure when I posed, yes. The link called "passive tree" shows every single reserved mana node taken.

Edit: just checked again and it's as I said. What are you unclear about? It's too many reduced mana reduction nodes.

I discarded the mana reduction near Influence, because like you said, it's more efficient to take them at the Sovereignty wheel. I am able to take both 4% reduction nodes and still be low life because I linked my Clarity to a BM gem. The reason I went for the mana reduction but BM'd my Clarity is so that I could run triple curses. I am not currently running any of the Purity auras because my Ventor's Gambles' make up for the lack of resists, mostly. I could/should run a Purity of Elements or Fire to make up for my lack of capped fire res, but I haven't found it to be too much of a problem.

That being said, I don't really like Flame Totem all that much, so I am looking to make a shift toward some kind of wand build, perhaps a CoC, while retaining my current gear. Save for the dagger.

PS. I've reread your posts and believe that I found out what your confusion is. I'm not the OP, this isn't my build. When I said that I made changes, it was to my own characters version of this build.

bahaha. Sorry man. You're right. I did think you were the OP. I didn't look. Saying I made changes" had my mind set you were OP I guess.
