[2.1][Talisman HC] Rolling Flames Fireball + Vaal Fireball too! Almost 300% Inc. AOE
Just realized there was an error with the skill tree. Went through the witch crit nodes for some reason. Fixed it now.

Hehe, can't wait for the full video.

The tree seems to be broken, it's just 102 points and there are two useless int nodes selected.

Nevermind, I forgot the jewels need these points.

" What do you mean by "just 102 points"? It's a good idea to keep build plans at around 100 points. You want your build to have all important parts finished by the time the real grind begins, which is around level 80. All the things this build needs is on the tree. And those useless int nodes are picked up because of the Rolling Flames jewels. I think you need to look up how Threshold Jewels work. :P Edit: Didn't see you already corrected yourself, sorry. :) Last edited by sumding#1621 on Jan 6, 2016, 12:39:00 AM

what kind of unique items could I invest in besides the one you listed in the OP? Maybe Consuming dark? or Sire of Shards?
Edit: Bought a cheap Sire of Shards and 5l'd it. This staff is really not that good combined with Fireball since it won't hit that many enemies since it fires in a nova. Still wondering if Consuming is a option since it pretty much is only good against reflect/fire res enemies. I think Pledge or +3 Staff is the best here, though I can't seem to find any good +3 Staff on poe.trade. Last edited by InsaneX3#3865 on Jan 8, 2016, 6:03:49 AM

I've looked through the majority of unique items in the game and didn't see anything too amazing for this build.
Emberwake is a pretty good ring to boost your DPS, but the stacking ignites doesn't seem to do much in most situations. I don't think consuming dark would really shine without chaos damage and poison damage nodes in the shadow area. It could be an interesting variation of the build to try out in the future. I had figured Sire of Shards would be pretty bad since a lot of this build's strength comes from shotgunning enemies with the explosions, something that's hard to do with a projectile nova. Though I wonder how it interacts with Vaal Fireball? Might be cool. As for staves like Pledge of Hands, Searing Touch, or a +3 staff, they are all excellent choices for this build. Downside is you'll have a lot less defenses without a shield. Spirit Shields can also give a lot of spell damage so you may not be getting too huge of damage increase from staves. It's something else I will try out eventually, then add my thoughts to the guide. |

I made some revisions to the skill tree. You have a bit less damage and health, but save a LOT more points. Went out the far left side of the witch start. (You need those points anyway for the threshold). The lost damage can easily be made up with heart of flame/celestial judgement and the lost health nodes can be picked up anyway at the end. This unfortunately means the tree only works with witch now, however.

Loving this build! Just hit 76 last night. Using a Pledge of Hands and just blowing up stuff 2-3 screens away. Quickly clearing maps. Getting better every level. Really underrated build, I hope more people give this a chance.

"I'm glad to hear you are enjoying yourself. This build is probably the most fun I've had as a caster as well. |
