Do any of you guys play other ARPGs such as D3, Grim Dawn, etc?
What's the most exciting or valuable item that's ever dropped for you in POE? First off, great game guys. I can never say that enough. I've played several years now and plan on playing several more. My questions are going to be more related to game development and what it takes (either to make your own or to possibly even work for you guys).
I have 2 associates and technically a 3rd which are all based on computer science. I was very good with c/c++ while in college but took a better liking of the web based languages like php/javascript. I feel I've become very good with web development now and am currently working on a PoE tool oriented web application. Will you guys be offering some apis for us web devs to get game data such as uniques/gems/mods/etc? Since I'm currently feeling comfortable with my web dev skills I have branched into what my high school starry eyed dream was, you guessed it, por.. wait I mean game development! When I was in college I made 2 games with c/c++. Battleship (3 levels of AI and not animated or anything) and pong. Battleship was pretty easy but pong... oh pong. I don't remember the graphics library I used but, I do remember that it wasn't easy. Using gimp to create the paddle and ball. Tracking movement and collision detection. I made it work with a controller even. Was pretty proud in the end but, it showed me that game development may not be for me. Fast forward to today. Udemy.com has reignited my ambition for really trying game dev. I'm learning Unity3D and C#. I'm not even half way through the courses I got myself into but, it seems promising. Do you guys know much about Unity? If so, do you think it is a good choice out of the other engines out there? I picked it because it is very versatile and has a free version which includes just about everything you might need. (can even publish with it and as long as you're under $100,000 of profit you don't owe anything.. something like that) I'll still acquaint myself with c# as that seems to be the new/leading industry standard. A little while back you posted job positions. Now of course most people who are like myself would think it a dream to work for the company who made one of their favorite games' of all time. However, moving to another country is scary, to say the least. So for those who would apply for future posted job positions who would not be afraid to move, what are you guys looking for in an applican because obviously you don't want any applicants :P (heh get it.. can vs cant... ok, I'll leave the comedy to Russel and his pack of doges). |

Will be possible to have for a special occasion the possibility to purchase the awesome "Exalted weapon effect", or, at least, the "eternal" one? Like a daily sale ? that weapon effect is something beautiful. I would buy it 10/10.

With regards to the Taliman league and its mechanics, I really enjoy the league and think that it has been well designed and implimented. My only gripe is the droprate of Rare talismans. Its getting to the point where I dont even pick up blue/white talismans because they dont seem worthwhile when you need 125 of them for a T4 which can't be rare. I was wondering if you had considered increasing the droprate of rare talismans and/or reducing the number of talismans required for a T4?
On the subject of Ascendancy, When will we see the other ascendancy classes? Im really excited to see them! |

When will you improve organization of microtransaction tabs?
Does poison delivered by a projectile attack with arrow pierce chance get increased by drillneck or is it just the original hit that gets the bonus? When more curses than you can simultaneously have on enemies are supported by blasphemy, how does the game decide which curse applies? |

it would be nice to see some significant defense choices for the evasion chars/right side of the tree in ascendancy, is that something we can expect?

On the subject of the new API's, I'm wondering what plans you have to grow and improve those API's with the help of the community once they are released? The currently available API's are very stagnant and there doesn't seem to be much developer response to issues with them (the Ladder API is so outdated, for example, that I wrote an entirely API wrapper to present that data to developers, which is currently used by hundreds of people a day). And until the new API's land, I'd just like to ask if it would be possible for you to add the ability to sort the Shop Forums by "Last Edited Time?" The inability to grab Acquisition threads in near-realtime is really hurting the tool ecosystem and is starting a sort of fight in the community (poe.trade recently implemented captchas to prevent this, scrapers are now using tor to get around it, etc.). If we could sort the forums by "Last Edited Time" anyone using the open source ExileTools indexer can get accurate data with simply a URL change. Does the consuming dark's feature "your poison damage poisons" apply to the poison aura from deaths oath and if not any chance this can be changed so the armor is actually usable?

Great game. Like so many, I have been playing for years and have contributed hundreds of dollars your way toward the development of this game. And it's all been well worth it. Welllll....almost! What are your plans for fixing the marketplace? This is not rocket science. Your aren't doctors, and this is not about saving lives. But you do have Diablo III as great example of what not to do. And, you have your own example of what not to do because no one is happy with the way it works today. Of course, you want people to grind it out. Makes sense. But your customers want to be able to leverage average, good, great and extraordinary items to help them acquire other loot from their fellow players who have either crafted or found items of equal value. There! I've stated the entire problem domain in two sentences. Look around, the strong desire of your own customers has forced them to come up with their own "fix", with applications like procurement and acquisition, and a pseudo-marketplace called poe.trade. But none of these really satisfy us. You are smart guys. This has been solved by those before you. Please, we're begging you, just provide us with a simple way of providing an online store that works even when we're not online. Thank you! ign: Edwurd_of_Steel
