Just joined the Talisman league to try this out. Everything seemed pretty good for the most part. The one thing I was curious about was why you use Arc against phys reflect. I noticed that most of the other projectile spells aren't very good against groups without LMP/GMP. But with the explosion (after the fork), Fireball/Arctic Breath seemed like they could possibly work, while also having better single target than Arc.

I've not tried something like Fireball, but I would assume it would be fairly sub-par on AoE due to the explosion only triggering on the final hit. With GMP/LMP, it would be great, I'm sure, but only a total of three hits with fork? Ehh...

Honestly, you can run whatever spell you like for phys reflect maps. It's only a fraction of maps, and your clear speed is so high anyways, it won't make much difference. I couldn't think of another "Projectile" tag spell that worked without extra links (such as LMP/GMP) in place of EK. So with that in mind, Arc is always going to be a solid choice, but you can also try AoE tagged spells such as Firestorm.
What's your opinion on having GMP as 5L or 6L instead, to run other projectile spells that'd need it?
Hey i was experimenting with a similar CoC build (the main difference: it's pure chaos damage, based on Voltaxic instead of Quill Rain) and i was wondering about your opinion on the following question:

Because of the removal of shotgunning and because of how Volley Fire works, the projectiles it adds do not actually provide a lot more hits against a single target, right? Volley fire adds 2 projectiles *simultaneously* to the first and last arrow of barrage, which means that if you're facing a single target, you are essentially working with an unaltered Barrage without additional projectiles. Because of this i ended up going back to LMP/GMP...

I would appreciate your opinion on the matter!

Why do you take a bandit frenzy instead of a power charge? Keeping them up 100% of the time doesn't seem to be a problem and i feel like extra crit > extra attack speed.
I've been playing this build for quite a while now on hardcore Talisman and its pretty fun to play. I made some changes here and there but it seems as if the synergy between the two uniques Quill rain and Rigwald's Quills is just amazing! The only thing that I'm afraid of is Phys reflect and the every-Coc-Nightmare Corrupting blood. Trying to get as much Chaos res as possible might help but its still getting me sweaty everytime i get 20 stacks in under a second. I'm pretty sure that I will rock this build in ascendancy too. What do you think? I might as well go ahead and post a thread for a build for hardcore next league if you dont mind.
How did you get to 41% crit chance with your gear? I'm running your exact build only I'm using Maligaro's gloves AND Rats Nest Helmet (combined those two give me an extra 125% global crit chance) and I'm only at 40% crit with 3 power charges up. Under the "My Gear" segment of the guide you say you have 41%. Did you make a mistake or am I missing something?

Thanks for the detailed guide!

I would also like to know why dont you get a power charge instead as we using Quill when we already having a good atk speed. Besides from that, do you think that if we need extra power charges from the passive tree?

For your information, there's a discussion in which Ascendancy Class will best fit for this build:
