" when the game works, make a copy of the ggpk file. when the game stops working copy that good copy back into the game folder. |

Getting this problem again when trying to update to 9.7. Guess I will just redownload the game for now.

Moved thread to Beta Bug Reports forum.
Have you tried running pack check? http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/18531 Also as others have said it's a good idea to back up the Content.ggpk file just in case (although we are working towards making this unnecessary). | |
Hi. Running packCheck gave me the same error...

I've just run into this too, my laptop shut down after about 10 minutes of play, guess it caused corruption. The shutdown hasn't happened before, inconveniently I haven't played for a while, and so there have been a number of updates since I last played. Something is causing a heavier load?

The game can't actually cause shutdowns, but the game overheating some part of your PC can - Turn VSync on if you don't have it on, or install a framerate limiter? Let me know if your PC temperature remains low but this still happens!

I just hit this problem after my Win7 bluescreened when trying to exit the first encampment. Upon rebooting, I'm only getting "Exception The pack file has corruption that can be fixed by running reclamation". I tried the PackCheck.exe, but it just said the same thing. Tried to download Reclamation.exe and reclamation.exe, but they didn't exist. Guess my only recourse is to re-download the full content.ggpk again :(

same here, packcheck doesnt work. dont wanna download the game (or big patch) every day -.-

Yeah, if the game asks you to run reclamation, your only choice is to download the content.ggpk file again. I suggest backing it up so you don't have to do this!
