Hi!

Looks like an interesting build. I think I might want to try it...a question though.

What do you think would be an ideal leveling skill until Bladefall?

Ethereal Blades, Blade Vortex scale well with the phys damage you are getting in the beginning so that should be good.

The cold damage from hatred doesnt poison and about 70-90% of your damage is dot damage.
You could run hatred in curse immun maps and maybe in the beginning if you don have double curse yet.
Great build, the same idea I had except I went hybrid instead of EB because I am playing HC talisman. I am just destroying content right now easily, 3.9k hp and 3.4k ES with 1 ming's heart. Feels so safe. Check my character RestinReeses.
Currently 84 or 85. Haven't gotten a 6l chest so I'm still not using void manipulation. I am however using two Mings along with chaos res on 1 piece results in all my resists being capped.

I'm still self cast but I can make it through blood magic or physical reflect maps with the trap support if I have to. I decided to go EB because I couldn't reasonably support it any other way.

My original plan was to grab charisma and run blasphemy/chains+enfeeble+vulnerability. I scrapped that idea at 80 when I 20% my enfeeble and chains. I decided instead to drop my helm with 99 life for a Geofri's that I run blasphemy-chain-enfeeble-lvl 2 enhance.

I ran Atziri a few times without any problems at all, save for killing myself in the split phase. Even with conc effect I hit the mirror clone with 1 volley of 1 cast and it instakilled me.

Having 40% increased curse effect as well as 36% gem quality on enfeeble and temp chains is just great. With two Mings and a Geofri's I'm sitting at 4.1k life and just cruising through the game

would carcass jack be a suitable chest piece for this build or is there a better chest piece im forgetting?

Carcass jack could certainly be the best unique, i was thinking about using Hyrri's Ire (~2k evasion) for defence (ecspecially if you drop EB and get the Acrobatics cluster), because your evasion gets buffed by your enfeeble curse. Other then that well rolled evasion armour could help you betterto overcap your resists and maybe use 2 mings heart + curse boots if you want to go that way.

Belly of the Beast could be good for more defence (but hard to colour), Ligning Coil seems unusable because of the res penaltiy (Exept with godly gear or using a resistence ring)

An other Idea is to use Victario's Influence (-20% mana reserved) for quad curse action/triple curse + herald and use a Staff.(Could be interesting for a non poison version of Bladefall or more of an support build, but needs more reduced mana ivestment... )

Lightbane Raiment (30% chaos conversion) ads around 10% damage( with void manipulation)but would be a nightmare to colour and Bosses are chaos resistend anyway.

But i'm thinking a 6l is quite important since all your links are double dipping mulpiers (in the trap version) so losing one link about half's you damage (still enough damage to clear up to t8 or 9+), the Self cast version could maybe sacrifice controlled destruction/void manipulation.
Atleast in Softcore i would keep Tabula until i can get another 6l Chest

tl:dr keep tabula or get a 6l Carcass Jack for clearspeed and stuff or good rare 6l chest for better resistances and defence
So, I've been running the build a little bit differently but it seems to be working wonders even though I still haven't done anything above a t10 map yet. I'm lvl 79 so I still have a little ways to go until I finish out my build. But basically, I switched out temporal chains for warlords mark so I didn't have to rely on speccing into EB to sustain constant casting. I am then going to spec Acro and Phase Acro for more survivability. I'm then pairing warlords mark with codt Immortal call for even more survivability. I'm still quite new to builds like this but it seems to be working perfectly fine right now. Does anyone have an idea if what I'm doing seems to be a fine idea? Or am I missing something.

Does Controlled Destruction work with spells supported by trap?
Added a abyss and aztrizi video with traps. The Kaom kill went really well.

yes
Why didn't you take any damage over time nodes on the tree? would the damage increase not be worth it?and there are some support gems that go well with this build, like rapid decay and faster casting would they be better than the gems that you are already using?
