Okay so.
First: I dont' give the SLIGHTEST of fu*ks about that dude. Hell. I even just saw the video after the nerf got patched in.
Second: There's an exploit in the game. GGG's testing team didn't figure that out. End of story. That's just how it is.
This part has NOTHING to do with gudda figuring it out or not. God knows how many issues there are still in the game, that just hasn't been found.

Even so, it does not change the fact thats its his fault that GGG had to resort to such means!
And thats the single only point i try to make here!

Thats just not fair blaming one single person for this whole "mess".

They could've just keept that "broken mechanic" for one day longer in the game but than fix it properly.

Imho this time GGG f***ed up big time.

Sadly ppl wouldn't have been ok with that, they would have call GGG out on it. Demanded a fix bc its broken and unfair to everyone not being able to farm that Item... blablabla i am sure you can think of the scenarios yourself. ;D
Thank you, GGG, you screwed my lvl 84 curser build in Talisman.

Ghudda did not discover this. It has been this way for a long time. You could have thought of a better solution instead of reflexively WREAKING the gems involved.

I mean, after so many things were nerfed because of their synergy with Disfavour and Enhance/Empower, you should have known better by now! Should have tested out the synergy!

It has been around for a long time and you nerf now, after a video release.
Goes to show that you either:
1.Simply did not know(Which is sad)
2.Did not care till it became public knowledge in the most sensational way possible(Thanks Ghudda and reddit)

You took a gem(one of the few remaining) that had a decent quality bonus and made it useless.

I honestly don't know if I will feel l̥̄ike playing tḫe game when I wake up tomorrow.

The problem was never in this curse being 20/20, 21/20 or 20/23. The problem was that you needed the quality to it be viable, so it scaled very much with corrupted Enhance and Axe.

I would like to point out that neither Enhance and Axe are the problem too. Enhance 8% per level is lackluster, it has few uses. The axe never had a indisputable build arround it.

if you have a level 4 enhance you basically add 24 levels to your temporal chains just saying... so saying they arent the problem is disshonest.

quality is the problem, but they are the things adding too much of it. therefore they are also the problem.

One has to look at the facts:
GGG implemented a few Gems which did not seem gamebraking at first glance... and still Ghudda broke the game.
Imagine what happens when they inroduce the acsendency classes which seem a bit OP. I fear the amount of gamebraking stuff will increase drastically.
Also GGG could have easily seen this one coming: One of the core design issues is to make sure the player does not achieve 100% defence. By that I mean that no build should be able to take no damage at all. They implemented a slow mechanic with Temporal Chains but forgot or chose not to limit it with either a cap or diminishing returns. The slow effect was scalable and despite the facts they introduced a new multiplier without testing if it could bring the defensive stat to a 100%. This is totally their fault and one should not blame Ghudda for this dramatic nerf.

all hail ghudda the great lord of fuck everything and make cursers useless THX ALOT m8
I didn't managed to read all the post in this thread but I'm not too pleased with the nerfs to curse gem quality in this patch. Before this patch, gem quality had a good synergy with them gem itself but right now the bonuses seem rather weak and pointless. Perhaps a hard cap would be a better solution for this issue to prevent abuse in the future. If mechanics likes resist, block chance, chance to hit have caps, I don't see why a similiar solution can't be implemented for gems like temporal chains.

Let's not forget, there's going to be more uniques, gems, jewels, passive nodes and gameplay mechanics introduced in the future that's going improve the efficiency of the nerfed gems. You can try to nerf it now, but it's not sustainable. I can already predict that with ascendancy classes, it's probably going to get nerfed even further to the point that unless you're specializing in curses, curses will be useless for players who just want to supplement their build.

This!!!

+1
Trying to satisfy the whole PoE community is like telling a nymphomaniac to only have sex once in a week.

I think that's fairly accurate. :')
Guys, I hope you all realize you're complaining about GGG not letting you LITERALLY stop time and become almost 100% immune to all deaths. If you're mad that they didn't leave that in the game then you should honestly be playing My Little Barbie's Winter Wonderland of Hugs and Ice Cream, not Path of Exile. It's a difficult friggin game, why would it be acceptable to leave a mechanic that destroys the point of the game entirely?

And to those of you bitching that they nerfed other builds that were not exploiting this loophole, suck it the hell up. It is NOT a gem-breaking nerf in any way whatsoever. you lost 10% slow on temp chains, and 10% curse effectiveness on blasphemy and curse on hit. It is not the end of the world, because guess what: THEY STILL FUNCTION THE EXACT SAME WAY, JUST 10% LESS EFFECTIVE!!!! You do not need to alter your builds in any way whatsoever to accommodate this nerf, simply be aware that enemies move and attack a tad faster. Get over yourselves and go enjoy this wonderful FREE TO PLAY game that doesn't have to answer to a single one of you.
GGG: "The best defense, is more offense. Huehuehue"

A bit sad at how weak ice shot/temp chains is compared to before. But looking at the new talismans and ascendancy classes...damage is going to be so insanely high that defenses are lol.

Just look at what vaal spark does, full on damage and a taste of hate. 6-7k ES and no other phys mitigation, just blow up the map in 2 minutes.
Really dislike the change. As people pointed out nerf the item, enhance or cap the resists, but the way it was solved right now it punishes everyone for something a very very small minority would have been able to abuse. Quality is now effectively useless on most of these gems and the support character all received a nerf, when they are already quite a pain in the ass to just get to level 60. Its just a question of time, till a similar abuse happens. As people have pointed out on reddit, possibly other slow skills can create the same effect even now still.

Right now I am having a real hard time between deciding to just reroll my curser or continue leveling it in Talisman. Its been ~10 hours slow ass leveling of a full support character and this nerf, compared to the new op dps from some builds is really pushing me to rerolling, which is a shame in my opinion.
