2.7k life, 700 ES. I guess it is Izaro, which you have to fight 3 times. I tried my best to listen, but I can't hear him 'charge up' when casting. Maybe i'm going deaf. I did figure out what was going on though. Seems in cruel labyrinth final boss, you are magically teleported randomly on the screen/area. The map has saws and such and if you land on them, you die.
I beat him this time, seems I got lucky and got teleported without landing on the saws. Guess it's a luck game on that one. I don't remember ever being teleported before fighting those bosses..... |

@inflictioNz: I've been working on a little guide video for a bit now. I plan to make it quite extensive, going into as many important details as possible.
This is what I have now, is this something you were expecting? or something less indept? In general, I would appreciate some feedback, especially from the newer players, just to see if I'm heading into the right direction. I am planning to make a multitude of smaller video's explaining different aspects, different chapters, different area's, etc etc. I'll also make video's on certain bosses as well, like Izaro and Atziri, just to call a few. I plan to make the beginning quite comprehensive, while lowering the amount of information in the later video's. I aim for 5 - 8 min vid lenghts. Anyways, I'm working on it :) @computertech82: That teleport isn't as random as it might look. Watch Izaro, you will see him casting a green circle around himself every now and then(only during the third phase in Cruel and up). After a short time, everything standing in that circle will be teleported. If you have only done him on normal, well... this is something you can expect from the higher difficulties as well. Congrats on killing him though! It might sound strange, but I always found Merciless Izaro easier then Cruel, as the build is really coming together by the time you face him again. I am a nice guy.

Hey buddy , I am the biggest noob from PoE , started to play like 10 days ago for first time [ never played games like this ] I am coming from shooter games and League of Legends so this game is 101% new for me . First I started to play as an Archer but that build wasant so detalied , so I started to search for a very detalied build and I found this.So after 3 days on my archer i decided to switch on witch with fierstorm , as a noob in 7 days i did lvl 78 .. i did lab in normal / cruel and merciles from first try , never died there and that izaro is a joke..with maps again , no problems so far , highest map is a Tier 8 that i did without problems , tomorow i will give a try to a Tier 9. When i fight Bosses i switch increase area with controled destruction and my dps goes like for 2.5 to 3.8 (something like this) and is easy to deal with bosses.
With gear , well there is no problem as i use poetrade , i have all i need , at lvl 78 i have 3.6k HP / 1.2k ES and my res in merciles are around 200%. So just wanted to let you know that this build is very very strong , imagine if i could do this without knowing anything .. what can a player that played to game can do. Just want to ask you , after i make my talent tree as u made there , is a good idea to pick up that node with 30 dex ( i rlly have problems with dex , cant make my lighting golem higer in lvl because of this , i know i can switch my amulet but there isnt a very good one yet ) and also after that node with 30 dex if is ok to go after some sokets , a lot of places where u need to put 2 points into something and the 3rd point is for soket , is this a good idea ? I know you have to read a lot , my english isnt good so sorry for my mistakes but i rlly want to say a big THANK YOU . You did an amazing job with this build , very good details and everything , u rock man ! PS: Can you please look my items and see if im on the right road ? I killed this forum / youtube / poe wiki and all i found about items and stuff like this. Last edited by andy44d#1707 on Oct 4, 2016, 3:07:53 PM

@Appels_Zijn_Gezond
First time playing this game have played D1,2,3. Looking forward to the videos and learning this class using your build. I have no clue what to do so just running around killing! lol I guess that's what I should be doing... The starter videos are a great idea, I have yet to read everything about the build, was actually looking for a progression guide but maybe it's already in the guide. Thanks again for the build hopefully I can learn to understand it! This game seems pretty complicated for us newbs! I subscribed and liked the vid :) What reward should I go with in the town, magma orb? I like the idea of having some zombies take some dmg for me! Also how should I progress my skill points? ... maybe this stuff is already in the text guide lol! Last edited by StaticBalls#6410 on Oct 5, 2016, 4:30:42 AM

@andy44d: There are two ways to get dex in this build. Either get it from gear, or get one or two 30+ dex nodes. It's completely fine for you to get them :)
As for your gear, it looks really good! That helmet has a great enchant! Did you craft it? Or did you buy it like that? Either way, great job on getting that one :) You could try to get some rings with higher life(70+)if you really want to upgrade something, but overall, it looks nice! - Wait, you could also put an enchant on your boots. I really adore the life and mana leech after kill. Those are relatively easy to get, and will do a lot for you :) @Velaurius: While it's nothing bad, you do lack a lot of life on your gear. You have quite a lot of uniques. In itself, nothing bad, but it does leave you little starved on life. Try to get some good rings with life to start off with(your current ones aren't all that special). Don't worry about losing some fire damage from the rings. Next, see if you can get an upgrade for your boots. Again. focus on life! Lastly, find an upgrade for your weapon. It's not bad, not bad at all really, but it's easy to get more spell damage. Here are plenty of weapons that will massively increase your damage output - for less then a chaos :) If you prefer to stay self found, try to find something with a high total of spelldamage + %fire damage(aim for 100+). Nevertheless you're not badly geared at all, these are just possible upgrades :) @StaticBalls: First off, thanks for your comment! I've been muling over whether the guide was too specific on certain parts. I even considered starting over, making it shorter and more compact. Your comment made me realize that the game is still way too complicated to be summarized within just a few minutes, so thanks :) When you get to town, you can pick whatever you want. You can buy any other skillgem he offers from Nessa(second tab!), so if you didn't like your pick, you can buy another from her(for only 1 wisdom scroll which is barely nothing!) In the video, I'll be recommending Raise Zombie, just so you can experiment with it early. But it's far from a necessity :) As for a leveling guide.. I did post a short leveling tree in the first post! I got it here for you :)
Leveling_Tree
16p
We stay close and grab the damage, mana, minion and life nodes nearby. Even though we get minion nodes early on, minions aren't really reliable at this point. It's good to have them up before going into a hard fight, but don't worry about them dieing if they do. 32p We head down and grab the first cluster of duration nodes. We stack a bit more life to get that extra survivability. 48p/2apWe get more life, damage AoE and cast speed, for our first labyrinth fight. With this tree, you should be able to overcome the labyrinth. The first two ascendancy points will go into shaper of desolation. 67p/2ap We head up to get Heart of Flame, and grab the second duration cluster at the bottom. And again, a bit more life. 75p/4ap A small jump, but a very important one. We get all our minion nodes, if you've levelled your raise zombie from the beginning, they should be tanky enough with those points to help you in the upcoming labyrinth(even without support gems). We get Elemental Overload for the extra damage boost(if you were using controlled destruction to level, this is a good point to switch over to increased AoE for the time being). We get Liege of the Primordial from the second ascendancy upgrade, so our golem won't die again, and we have a nice boost on top of it. 90p/6ap This should be at least everything you want to have before you tackle the merc labyrinth. We get the aura node, the second curse and more life. If you are still struggling with izaro(he one shots you), get a few more levels, and get more life. If you are playing on HC and don't want to take any risks, make sure to get at least 3.5K life/500ES before attempting Izaro. Make sure he does not get the chance to power up(if you swap in concentrated effect before going in, you should be able to melt everything that tried to empower him). At this point, both Pendulum of Destruction and Paragon of Calamity are good pick ups. I personally recommend Paragon of Calamity, since it will help you when tackling higher content. And the final tree. If you reach 87, you should have the final tree as planned above. From here, there are a few good points to pick up. I've crafted a 122p tree with several nodes you can pick up. It is also possible to pick up the jewel slot nodes to the left of Elementalist(templar area) or the one below Whispers of doom(dual curse node). Note that I also picked up the last ascendancy notes here. By now, you should be able to access and complete the final lab. Pick up the final remaining ascendancy, Paragon of Calamity or Pendulum of Destruction. I did try a guide based on writing, but for numerous reasons, I stopped doing so(One of them was the forum limit of 10.000 characters/post. I often... exceeded it. Which was annoying :D)(Another was, because the game was getting a decent rework, I cba to update all the little details every time it happened.) But here it is, quite unfinished, but the first few levels are explained there :) - also doesn't include anything labyrinth related, to make sure to look up everything about the trials before committing to that 'guide';P I am a nice guy.

i mean that the guide for new player in poe need to be a do like. in your guie ther is a lot of info and option to do and alternativ like the gem you can use a few way to gem but as new player we dont know the diffrent. as a new player to poe i think the guide for us need to be like a to do list. "you need to start a witch chercter go play up to lvl 5 and get the gem --- and then at lvl 12 get the firestorm after that at lvl 20 get .... somthing like this." a guide that tell us what to do how to get to the end game after that any player start to feel and learn the game alone and will have some basic. now your guide have a lot of info and i get lost and most of it didnt understand. the first cher need to be just to reviw the game. i saw thos video guide its look nice it give good info it can have few ajust for new player. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbCgMvxR9T4 but you can see that he show the important stuff like play staily its verry helpfull for some one that dont know anything of the game =] |
