[2.1] Hyaon's Fury Lightning Strike / ST || 85k DPS + Light Pen, Budget, Insane Defences, HC Viable
@mac2monster
Ah thanks! Good luck with the build. |

What do you look for? evasion? es? or armor?

" Primarily high ES. Evasion and armour are nice bonuses but not mandatory |

In your leveling section, I believe leveling only has 2 l's not 3, makes ctrl+f'ing a little hard :D
Alternatively, you NEED to add wake of destruction, you can get around 3k dps with wrath, wake od destruction and herald of lightning strike, wed, and added lightning damage for dominus. It is INSANE for leveling if you dont care about defenses on your boots. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Wake_of_Destruction Last edited by ProxyName#5632 on Feb 8, 2016, 4:43:08 PM

Hello, thanks for your well-documented build. I'm brainstorming an hyaon's fury build for the Ascendancy (patch 2.2). I first tried to look at Assassin crit version but I am sure an Inquisitor w/ Pious Path & Instruments of Virtue would be badass (I also tried to tweak a bit w/ the Trickster subclass but there's no good point except no mana on movement skill). Do you plan to update your build?

I'm planning on running a similar build in Ascendancy too, I've decided on going for Trickster. I'm doing this for the tankiness, and the fact that attack speed is so nice for the build. The build would probably benefit from an ascendancy that would give you a lot of damage, but I'd rather just be safe considering the build looks like it does solid damage as is, especially if you take the new elemental overload keystone.
I picked Trickster for two main reasons, Shadow starting location is nice, and I think with the new changes you really want to start Templar, Witch or Shadow. The other reason is what Trickster offers, the dodge it gives, plus the large chunk of ES. Basically, it's a level 15 discipline with no reservation, plus 25 dodge chance because with EB and MOM you'll rarely have full ES in combat. So for mitigation, you'll now have block from your shield, dodge from trickster, MOM, fortify and then your life pool. Plus any additional effect from gear such as lightning coil. The other options for tankiness is something like Hierophant, but I feel like you'd really need to be a build that leaves mana unreserved to benefit from a MOM build on him, which this build doesn't really do. Just my two cents, and thought process. |
