Killing Merveil too easy?

Do keep in mind that hardcore players shouldnt have to play the perfect match just to deal with the act 1 boss on normal. So super attacks and such should take that into consideration :p

That's true, that we shouldn't have to be completely perfect just to get by, but I still feel like it should be made more difficult.

The problem is that I'm not afraid. I've only died once in this game, and that was on a witch at lvl 15 when I didn't know the pirate captain was going to spawn minions, and I didn't have any area of effect skills... my marauder is now level 55, and I don't anticipate him dying at all, ever, unless perhaps on chaos runs.

Part of the reason I play hardcore is that I enjoy the thrill, the knowledge that there's so much of my time and energy on the line, and that if I do something wrong I could lose it all. I just don't get much of that thrill when I don't feel threatened...

yes! i couldn't have said it better myself. 62 on HC ladder, i really have little incentive to keep playing him if he has very little chance at death. sure i could go afk and die, i could launch a ton of aoe's into a refelct elemental mob, i could run around naked...those things may kill me but im pretty sure nothing else can unless i allow it to happen.

I found the fight to be quite the opposite actually, merveil practically one shot my ranger...

I found it to be 90% fleeing for my life, with 10% attempting to get shots out. Perhaps with a melee fighter, this wouldn't be so much of a problem... But for my ranger, I really had to group up for it.
