[2.0] KuteKitteh's Insanely Tanky Incinerate V2 - AA/MoM/LC/Armor, safe & easy mapping!
What do you think about a CwDT + Lightning Warp setup?
It mantains your incinerate stage while moves you around avoiding some attacks/spells. "Embrace the darkness"

It would move to to the point your cursor is. Unless you are very attentive, it seems to me it could lead you right into more monsters at a moment when you don't want to. Plus without reduced duration and faster casting, wouldn't it be slowish to actually come into effect ?
Edit : level 75 ruin village map, with double boss and 20% boss attack speed + 20% boss damage. Done deathless. Had to take them one by one (can't imagine what build can take 4 bosses like that at once) and nearly died on the fourth. Grin. Last edited by Pingouinmalin#5040 on Sep 6, 2015, 8:04:36 AM

Thanks KuteKitteh for the build. File this first part of my post under "User Testimonials". :)
I've been playing PoE since closed beta and have tried so many builds I couldn't count them. Most recently I have tried a Mjolner/Volls Low Lifer, Whispering Ice build, Cocknocker, and Perma-stun Groundslammer. Each were fun but where I grew frustrated was with the extreme lag running them caused. Mind you, I have a fairly robust and up-to-date PC but still my screen would freeze - sometimes to the point of getting kicked out of the game. Honestly, I grew weary of PoE in general over this but decided to try and find one more build I could try that would be fun, strong and easy on my framerate. Enter this build! I killed a ton of regrets respecing my level 91 witch, started filling in gaps in my gear, tweaking, acquiring needed gems and finally was able to test drive it the other night. Wow, what an amazing build. The DPS is sick and it is probably the tankiest build I've ever played. I have always been a more conservative player, willing to sacrifice some DPS for survivability but this build gives you a heaping-helping of both! I still have one more jewel I need to acquire which will put me into full-on map farm mode. To anyone considering this build.... do it. It doesn't disappoint. ************** So what does my spin on the build look like? Read below for my gear, gems and tree. First my tree (all but a few points identical to KuteKitteh's tree): Next, my gear:
Spoiler
The Elreon ring was crafted by myself. I regal'd it from just the -8 mod and then multi-modded it from there. Using LC chest I needed to get some serious Lightning resists. Jewels can be seen in my tree. I am very pleased with the two I have so far which focus on offense and defense and filling out some needed resists. Oh, and once I get my final jewel I will have fully over-capped resists ready for Ele Weakness maps. Finally, my links:
Spoiler
Chest: Incinerate > Spell Echo > Fire Penetration > Lesser Multiple Projectiles > Faster Projectiles and for the 6th link I have numerous options depending on the situation. My Lightning Coil is colored BBGGRR. The 6th socket is red and I can interchange the following: 1. Item Quantity for easy content or farming for drops/currency 2. Life Leech for when I feel I need the extra survivability - haven't found the need for it yet. The .4% leech from belt and scepter seem fine although I haven't run any 80+ maps yet. 3. Iron Will which at 20/20 gives 120% increased spell damage with my 360-ish strength - FOR NO MANA MULTIPLIER! 4. Empower. Mine is only level 2 so I'm not sure what boost it will give when it hits level 3 (or even 4 with some luck). With the IQ or LL gems socketed, Incinerate does 13.5k DPS (still have an open jewel socket, too) for 11 mana cost per cast. With IW socketed my tooltip DPS shoots to 15.8k. With IW socketed and LMP swapped for Slower Projectiles, DPS skyrockets to 22.5k (good for up-close boss fights. Scepter: Lightning Warp > Faster Casting > Reduced Duration Shield: Arctic Armor > Clarity > Enlighten (lvl 3). As KuteKitteh mentions, the Enlighten isn't needed but it helps a little. Helm: Chaos Golem > Minion Life > Minion Elemental Resists > Fortify. This gives me a self-cast super tank that can hang in there in most situations. Gloves: CWDT (lvl 1) > Ball Lightning (lvl 4) > Curse on Hit (max) > Warlord's Mark (max). This set up procs ball lightning on very low damage which then curses most nearby mobs with a high level WM. It's a nice way to auto-curse nearby mobs when you need it most. The extra leech is nice as are the Endurance Charges which also fuel my other CWDT set up below. Boots: CWDT (lvl 3) > Immortal Call (lvl 5) > Increased Duration (max) > Phase Run (lvl 5). The typical CWDT/IC set up but I tossed in Phase Run in my last slot which can give a little extra survivability as well as being useful for rushing out of a pack when you trigger a chest. All-in-all, I am having a lot of fun with this build.... and I'm really just getting going. My Incinerate covers the whole screen melting everything in the blink of an eye. I feel extremely tanky and the build provides for a great deal of flexibility if you need/want it. So to wrap up, check out the build, have fun, and thanks again to KuteKitteh! EDIT: Forgot to include a few more stats about the build: Life will be just over 5k once I get my final jewel Life Regen: 335/sec Mana: 1057/1706 unreserved Mana Regen: 126/sec Physical Dmg Mitigation (w/Chaos Golem): 45% Chance to Evade: 13% Block Chance: 31% Incinerate Casts: 13.89/sec (not using Faster Casting support but could if I recolored) Note: without an Elreon ring I could sustain Incinerate on a 5 link (or no multiplier 6th link like Iron Will or IIQ) indefinitely. Adding LL, FC, Slower Projectiles you need the -8 to sustain. Last edited by urgatorbait#3706 on Sep 8, 2015, 5:48:25 PM

Kind of surprised this thread isn't seeing any action. I posted 6 days ago (above) and nobody's posted anything since. This build has turned out to be the most balanced and fun build I think I've ever played. Lots of fun, safe, easy on your framerate, and mobs are obliterated instantly. Anyone else enjoying it as much as I am?

Yes I enjoy it a lot!!!! TY for this AWSOME build!!!!

I'm just about to switch my lvl 83 witch over to this build.. can't wait to see how she goes. I'll let you know... |

" I'm guessing you'll love it! Haven't had this much fun with a build before. Been running maps with wreckless abandon and haven't even had any scary close calls. I've been able to down bosses that I've generally avoided with other builds. Will be anxious to hear about your experiences with the build. |

Thanks so much for this build! I've been having a great time with it, and have made it further in the game than with any of my previous home-grown builds.
I'm beginning to reach a plateau with this build and could use some advise on how to make my build Atziri capable. Here's the gear I'm stuck with. I need to keep these to keep the build viable.
Spoiler
I need help getting good replacement gear for these:
Spoiler
Currently, I have to run Elemental Resist for survival (running 71-73 lvl maps), but that isn't part of the original build, so I'd like to get away from that. I'm not sure where to go from here, aside from boots and glove with more life and resist. Last edited by Dienaught#5415 on Sep 14, 2015, 5:15:39 PM

@ Dienaught : I guess you'd benefit from a legacy lightning coil (but I suppose you're in warbands) and you should definitely give Lioneye's remorse a try (big armor compared to Saffell's and big chunk of life and it blocks more things. Much more things).
Personnally, I am doing 77 maps with no difficulty whatsoever (but my character is 88). I have not tried Atziri's yet, but it is out of fear more than anything else (never tried her yet and don't want to fail miserably for my first try). I'm not even sure my gear is slightly better than yours : Same helmet, scepter and armour of course. I think the shield is the key in fact. (can't wait to get my corrupted version of Lioneye's remorse with 6% of damage taken gained as mana, currently in my warbands stash). Warlord's mark could maybe help you (replacing flammability ?). And I see you're using reduced mana : it is rather useless with flame dash (you have too much mana to care) and not working at all with your purity of elements. First of all, as always I would start by apologizing for my stupidity
Secondly I want to say that I really REALLY want to do this build, no other build has had me drawn to it like this, but alas, I am a lazy hobo and I do not wish to level either a witch or a templar, would I lose way too much respeccing my scion for this build or could it be done? if not then I have to go for the hypertank one linked earlier which is kinda similar but still not quite the same. edit: I did start leveling a witch though despite being lazy as I am and it is fun fun fun :D Also im just curious, the reason for a 5L and not 6L lightning coil is it because of the mana cost of a 6th gem, or the price of 6L or just because you don't think it would provide a big enough damage boost to merit a 6L? Again editing for some questions as I'm going away for a few days hoping for some input while im off: Doryani's belt vs rare is personal preference as you said but which does the leach also provide a nice defensive, rephrased: is it noticeable? Second, would Rumi's flask be viable to use? (and disregard the question about scion tbh, im already mapping with my witch :D) Last edited by Chridian#2796 on Sep 19, 2015, 11:16:31 PM
