It is better to just get a mantle and corrupt +1 gems then use Vorici level 8 to 5l it. The currency spent on getting the 6th link won't be worth it.

If you want to do 6l non-corrupt, test it yourself. Chrom it and check it out. slower proj is most damage but obviously less area. Faster casting will eat mana. Faster proj is nice but doesn't add too much dps. I'd check iron will.

How much damage does having +1 gems add to this build/how much do each level of empower add? I'm working towards leveling up my empower to 2 and I was wondering if I should start working towards the +1 mantle.

+1 gem adds quite a bit of damage. I can't tell you how much damage it adds though as I don't have an extra 5 link mantle, but it is a lot. Incin gets 2 extra levels from the corrupt which is HUGE (2nd level comes from the extra level empower gets).

I just vaaled a mantle then vorici level 8 a 5socket/5l.

For jewels try to get reduced mana cost of skills, spell damage, fire damage, cast speed, or ES. Obviously mana is not bad if you need it, but I prefer the above rolls.

I crafted mine. Most of them are not even top tier, just decent rolls. Most people are not playing atm. 2.1 you will find lots for sale :)

It is, so trade for them to supplement and use the vaal orb recipe as well.
