Thats it. No armor, no evasion, no lightning coil, no iron reflexes, no dodge, no hp, no MoM, no block. Remind me where it is that you plan to get any amount of defense at all, let alone layered defenses. For someone that has so much experience with low life builds you sure have no clue as to the state low life builds are in.

Hi, there I've been playing this build. Any tips on making it better and actual defense. Getting hit hurts. Badly.

Picked up a Restless Ward armor. Currently going to try this with Ice Bite + Enduring Cry + Herald of Thunder with Curse on Hit with Assassins Mark. Will try this with Doedre's as well.

OK. So have ES but Evasion or Armor. I'm thinking ES/EVA since I'm going to use Restless ward.

I squeezed in Arctic Armor. Currently using Ice Golem for crit. How big a difference is Chaos golem.

My next question is how to leech 50/50 Elemental. What are my options for survival besides Doryinis (however you spell it) belt.

tell me whats your level, your actual skilltree and gear. Than I can provide you with more helpfull suggestions.

I think the Restless Ward armor is not good for this build. The chest should provide you with the highest amount of energyshield of all your gear. Restless Ward has only ~250es. I think it should best be used in an eldritch battery build, so try to get a high es armor as first step for improving your defense! There is nothing wrong to use Arctic Armour. I just swapped it out cause it felt better with my other aura choices. It is the same for the golem, but if you have defense problems, just use the chaos golem.
For leeching, you can also enchant your weapon from a master, to gain lightning- or colddamage leech, but since you are dealing damage from both elements, I dont think it's worth it.
It is the same for the Doryani's Invitation belt. But if you want to try it, tell me if its working for you (I have not tried to use the leechenchant and belt together yet...)

im pretty inspired by your build and currently making the BL version of it. One question though : do you consider using the Broken Crown unique as it gives 50+ chaos res and 20% inc dmg on LL? it has the drawbacks of that CoD though which is why i only use aura and buff on it

in the beginning I also used the Broken Crown because it makes stacking max chaos res easier. But later on, you want to use a rare high es helmet with chaos once all your other gear got chaos resistance too. You can ignore the CoD stat on it...
