Double Strike
on-hit effects.

" Use auras and elemental damage so that double strike hits twice and applies your flat ele damage mods twice fast? That'd be my guess. With Anger and some fire damage and elemental weapon traits hitting twice at fast speed would stack up damage fast. Scepters too I suppose. |
|
" i think not. at least damage wise: attack multiplier also affects gems/equip if i remember correctly, that means that if you have a ring that gives you +10fire damage, and you use an attack that has 150% multiplier, then tat gives you +15fire damage. if you take the attack multipliers of those 2 skills (70% and 150%) its quite obvious that damage wise heavy strike wins (10 damage becomes 15 damage for heavy and 10 damage bcomes 14 for double strike (2*7)) the only real use of double strike imo is with supports like chance to flee, or life on hit, or for quick shock build up and etc. |
|
Also the fact that one is Dex and the other is Str.
My Shadow uses Double strike as his exclusive single target hit, and the damage is pretty tremendous. (Thought that might be a function of 400% crit damage). |

Give this skill a meatier sound effect, seriously. Double Strike sounds so unsatisfying.
My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

This is a quest reward for Marauders from Brutus Cruel. This is a really bad quest reward option for that point in the game. Please reconsider that gem reward choice.

"Life Gain on hit is applied twice. Shocked is applied twice on a crit. The target doesn't get knocked back (really annoying). You have two chances to blind, cause the target to flee, or knock them back. |
|
" So it's a disadvantage that Heavy Strike always causes Knockback, but an advantage that Double Strike can do it twice? ;) But yes, Double Strike has a nice couple of advantages over Heavy Strike. Especially that Shock stacking is awesome. |
|
"It's an advantage that you have the choice. |

There seems to be a bug with this skill when dual-wielding.
When calculating the dps it adds the damage of two weapons (with .7 multiplier) rather then doubling the main weapon. This makes it a significantly worse version of Dual Strike when dual wielding. I was wondering if this is intentional ? |
