Voidscream Mines lvl 2 act 4 normal is bugged(Game Breaking)

What you say makes sense, but this bugged mob is one you cant avoid on normal difficulty, so basically, going trough mines at the moment is suicide, so yeah, gg.
Yeah, just got hit like a truck while rerolling character (normal difficulty). Luckily just warbands, but I died in blink of an eye. 1300hp after initial hit I left with like 100hp. Seems overtuned for a normal difficulty.

I don't even know how did he appear, dropped from the ceiling or some shit :D I'm chilling you know, fairly easy content and completely forgot about that new zone boss, insta-gibbed. To compare, I beat Malachai like shit, facetank with no effort.

So either this was intentional to kill unaware players:

How can you not avoid it? Just run away.
I agree that this boss is Excessively difficult, but if u play smart u can kill im.
Two of my characters died to this boss today in Tempest normal difficulty. I'm so sad :(

I had about 1,5k life and full cold rest and okay-gear. But I was dead within a second. Twice today!
1300 hp on normal with fortify, died in the blink of an eye on tempest. :(
Idiots who havent met him, please, leave the thread. You get instagibbed, he does more damage than Malachai heavy melee attack, its a BUG.
Oh so that's what it was.. I didn't even notice. I was going through Mines in Normal and I am building for RF character, it was good that I was running Arctic Armour, Chaos Golem, Vitality and had 58% physical damage reduction as well as 150+ Life regen. Normally I don't go below 90% health, then I stumbled upon this flying monstrosity. It looked exactly like those tiny flying fuckers, I only noticed this mob was different when it took half of my health.. If I didn't have a Flame Totem and a Chaos Golem that probably tanked a bit of the damage, that would would have been a RIP.

Just lost my lvl 39 Hardcore marauder to him. Quite a hardy character that rarely went below 80-90% HP.

My main complaint with this monster is that it appears out of nowhere, it's undistinguishable from the normal white mobs and, at least in my case, it didn't even appear to have any description of what sort of damage it does or special mods it or its pack might have.

I didn't even notice I was fighting a unique mob because there were 6-7 bats flying all over the place at high speed that looked the same as regular bats. I simply saw my HP plummet and I was dead before I could react.

It was my very first Hardcore character, I was doing exceptionally well up until this point, and this has certainly soured the experience for me, as it feels that it's either buggy or a very cheap way to mess with players: a completely unbalanced encounter that is made even worse by the inconspicuousness of it all.

In conclusion: If it isn't a bug and this completely overpowered monster is working as intended, it should at the very least be made much more clear that you're fighting a special pack of monsters. Give them an aura or something, and disclose the reasons why they deal so much damage.
I guess the conclusion is: until further notice, Do not engage bats in Mines 2. Just run, run, run.
