6 Socket... [ilvl 37] two handed sword.

Couple people mentioned vorici crafting bench, I can assure you I did not.
It might have been a ghost though. I was level 80 running through standard content.. I could barely see the mobs I was killing. I picked up the sword after killing the small group of mobs, and then stopped 5-10 seconds later wondering HTF did I just pick up a 6 socket item?
Looked at it, checked itemlevel using the chat command, then posted it in global chat, nobody was interested, so I checked wiki, then identified it to see if the mods somehow affect the item, they didn't.

All in all, a very peculiar situation.

The ghost having strongbox mods for extra sockets seems to be the most likely scenario at this point.

Hm, just as I had memorized "1 1 15 35 50" now it's a whole new thing apparently. Needs testing and stats to find out the new numbers.

I stand corrected. Maybe it was just a normal drop then.
Well at least we have a good starting point for 6 sockets dropping, albeit uncommonly, before level 50, at least level 37. :)

One last bump for those that aren't aware.

Chris did say the increase in the amount of Chromatic items you find was intentional. They lowered the level required to use many support gems and didn't want lower level characters to be unable to use them due to not being able to color sockets. It would make sense that they also lowered the item level requirements to get sockets for the same reason.
