Explosive Arrow Marauder (Updated for Release)
Yeah i am also wondering about the IR situation, i can't really see any type of dmg reduction focus on the passive tree? No real dedicated defence really. Am i missing something? Will the mobs die too fast? ;)

And yeah also, LoH is only supposed to go on my EE-proc of choice (lightning arrow, split arrow w/e) right? Not on my EA? At least that's what it says on the description of this particular build.

The build did take a pretty hard hit with the aura change. You can't run grace anymore. Therefore, I don't go IR. Armor is a bit of a soft spot for the build, but with decent armor gear along with the blind proc from your split arrow, coupled with the massive amount of hp and hp regen you'll have, you shouldn't have too much of an issue.
The only gem that you really want to have quality on is EA. The other gems are okay being at 0 quality. For bandit rewards, it's really up to you. I prefer going life/skillpoint/endurance charge. Also, the build I posted uses ~100 points. I plan on using the rest of the points to go into armor and life. Last edited by Pastromy#5792 on Nov 8, 2013, 7:29:37 AM

" I have been using this build from level 55 to my current level of 76 and have been pretty happy with it so far. The only weak spot I have is against single targets. Especially rogue exiles in maps. I just cannot get them to burn down fast enough and have come close to ripping to a couple of them. The other explosive arrow marauder thread maker Xantaria suggested I use conc effect but I just don't have the sockets available for it (yet). I have a 5link Quill Rain for explosive arrow and a 5link chest for split arrow. Also, fast moving packs can be a problem sometimes. In certain maps there are leapers that do some sort of ice damage that hit really hard even on level 66 - 67 maps and they often move too quick for me to get some EA's in them before they jump on me hitting me for half health. Any ideas for single target? The fast moving packs I've just been moving carefully and using my split arrow / blind totem as a buffer. IGN: Dawn_Keebals

Ok guys, I am not sure if anyone can answer this, but here is the question:
If I hit a target with -100% fire resistance, and then that mob has a burn proliferate to a mob with 200 fire resistance, does the burn still have the same dps as it would with the -100% fire resistance target? IGN: @Deltrus

Hi, i am new to this game so don't insult if possible. I started this build recently, it feels great but i have 1 little problem, it is elemental equilibrium. I just don't completely understand this skill and how should i use it. I had researched some other EA build characters too but most of them were using aura for EE to proc (like wrath for example), now it's a suicide with blood magic, too high cost.
Now a little example how i proc EE with lighting arrow: first hit with a couple of explosive arrows, then i use flammability, after that lighting arrow before enemy explode, To be honest i think that's not the best way, so i am trying to search easier alternative. Also i have some thoughts about EE. Maybe i should use gems like "added lighting or cold damage" linked with split arrow to debuff before i use explosive arrow for bonus. Or maybe i should put some clothes with stat "added number or percentage of lighting/cold damage", not sure if it would make my ordinary attacks proc EE. How do u solve this problem? |

You get an item with 10-15 cold damage etc. That will make your split arrow + chain proc EE.

Best way to proc Equilibrium is to set up a 4L or a 5L with split arrow ideally linked with chain, lgoh, and blind. Then just get a quiver with defensive stats and cold damage. (I chose cold because most builds now seem to be based around fire and lightning so.) And yea. Just EA the mob, split arrow, flammability, bam done. GG.

Z_Dragoon: You hit the nail on the head.
You have to use Lightning Arrow (not preferred), use added lightning/cold with Split Arrow (not preferred), or get +x-y lightning/cold damage on a quiver, ring, or amulet. To utilize EE properly, you'll want to stack a mob with charges, curse, and hit them with lightning arrow or split arrow before they explode. After the charges explode, you'll want to use Lightning Arrow or Split Arrow once again because you'll debuff their fire resist to get increased burn damage once more (their fire resist automatically increases when the explosion goes off, so you need to reapply your lightning/cold damage).
