How Divination Card Submission Will Work

just for the record ggg, I would actually PAY for remote & automated trading

nobody can convince me people like to stay in town spamming trade chat for hours and hours (I've been there) when buying/selling stuff could be as easy as selecting an item and price and BAM you have your gear upgrade/currency

SO EASY GGG

on topic:

cards might be a good idea, there was definitely a need for collectibles of some kind so that's a checkmark
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good

Some of these parameters seem... pretty limiting.
Am I to understand that if I were a Highgate supporter, I can't specify a card with parameters like:

Returns a rare piece of Gold Jewelry (gold ring OR amulet) with guaranteed item rarity affixes.

Or a similar, specifically themed card? Or am I merely misunderstanding something?

It seems that the outlined explanation helps let us know the types of things we can do, and only explicitly forbids a small selection, while a larger selection is more implied as forbidden.

But, yes, certainly it is expected you could choose a category, for which "gold jewelry" may qualify. And yes, making it Dragon's ( 1 affix ), would seem to follow the rules.

Questionable becomes if you can choose a second affix. This isn't explicitly allowed, and thus is implied as forbidden... But it might come more down to either just how OP those 2 affixes are together, or how complex they want to allow the reward description and formula to be.

It sounds that people will be able to ask via text, and thus try for anything, but obviously at some point things will need to either be denied or made very rare. I think these examples help showcase the kind of things they plan on approving and denying, but I wouldn't blame someone for trying.

I think the issue with specifying too many affixes is that you could create a de facto unique, and GGG doesn't want this supporter pack becoming a Diamond pack.

So I'm assuming you can't mix and match items. Like give one of each type of flask or somehing.

What about quantity? Are you limited to one stack max or anything?
Im loving how many times "rejection" comes up in that description of the process. I'm confident GGG will veto stuff that just doesn't fit. Phew, I was a little worried there XD
Don't forget to drink your milk 👌
If the cards are good they won't drop anyway. 1k plus hours played: never found a 6l, never found a mirror, never found an eternal, never found a rare or unique that was worth more than 5 exalts.

I mean I'm fine with that because I think the game is way to easy with gg gear like 6l shavs and mjolner or mirrored crit dagger st or godlike harbringer ts and I can only laugh at the people who think they need at least a 5l or a tabula to make a build work on maps, but I see no sense in adding awesome items that 99% of the players will never even see ingame.

Thanks for the info in advance! I'll be getting the Highgate pack as soon as Support gets back to me about payment.

I have to ask, though...

We'll create art for your card, balance its rarity, determine how many you'll need to complete a stack, and assign it to drop in specific locations. It's important that these decisions are left to us because they're integral to the balance of Path of Exile.

Why is the card's art integral to the balance of the game? It seems like something we should at least be able to make suggestions on.

I agree with Bunnu, and I'm surprised there aren't more posts about this. I would think that helping design the art, or at least the overall theme of the art, would be something highly desired by the Highgate supporters. I'm sure the main concern is being bogged down in details going back and forth between the artists and the supporters, but there has to be some way to make it pretty streamlined.

Unique items generally move away from regular rare items by including some aspect that rares cannot.

But yes, Rares then can be and generally are intended to be better than uniques, so I suspect you'd have to careful there. I'd never expect to be allowed to see 3 perfect tier 1 physical prefixes, for example.

So, obviously, certain affixes together are seriously op. But, what I wonder is if they'll cave in to a 2 affix request if it's not a particularly crazy op one, and etc down the line. I wouldn't stop someone from asking for light radius and stun recovery, cause it doesn't sound op, and you just haven't found the build that would want that yet. (Sure that sounds trollish, but GGG might just come out with a unique Jewel that shares light radius into mana regen or etc to counter troll you.)

I also wonder if "100 chance orbs" is reasonable, or if it must be just a single stack size, because say "20 chance orbs" sounds less interesting, and similar goes for other lesser currency. (But then, also, perhaps it will require less cards and they will be far more common.)

I really feel that anything less than around say 12.5 chaos worth in value just seems like "why bother". But I'm completely making assumptions about the possible max commonness of cards.

I'm considering just making mine like, 20xWisdom Scroll just so everybody will see my card.

Plz someone make blue harbinger ilv 100 with bleeding on hit. Or a blue staff with +1 level of socketed support gems.
Tora and catarinas unique mods respectively on previously unattainable base.
