2.0 Path of Archer!!!!
We don't know how the passives tree will look like and all these things still have to be tested in the Beta too (which is what a Beta is about). This jewel will be in the game in mid-late June, there is nothing to fix.

If that really is the way the tree is going to be then thats the part where every archer is going to go and if there really is jewel for each weapon type like this then every character has to have those nodes so i kinda doubt that the tree will stay like that. at least i think that they are going to add some garbage nodes on the way to the claw and dagger major points so you cant get the big boosts and only the points leading to them.

Why are people crying out over a leaked picture, taken before the beta even starts?
What we see here, may be a jewel made JUST to see "what if...". Even the tree design may be designed just to see "what if...". I don't know man, the 7 other bow wheels below that area plus that would leave me almost no hp nodes...........

But theres sooo much crrrriiit nodes... crit will be nerfed or atleast the dagger notes so np for me :P

Don't forget, that jewel is unique. There's no way to know yet how rare it will be. It could be ultra-rare and thus ultra-expensive. Good gear costs a lot and that jewel most likely will too.

To actually address the subject of the thread, the locations and balance implications of the jewel sockets are a subject of continuous discussion among the design/balance team. Their locations have already changed since that version of the skill tree, and I expect more changes before the beta concludes. I can't go into more detail because I'm working on different stuff at the moment and I'm sure others are more up to date on what's happening with them than I am. Either way, I'm expecting a lot of moments where we just stare in abject horror as you guys break the game in new and exciting ways we never anticipated. Should be fun :) Gameplay & Level Design
