[2.0] Flameblast Solo Map MF'er (20 IIQ, 230-330 IIR)
" Okay great, I also just editted my post about the Carcass Jack could you check that out real quick? Thanks man (: |

" Carcass is purely for the AoE and area damage, so however you want to set up is fine. In new leagues I only run a 4L carcass (typically that's where I put my lit warp setup and artic armour early, until I can rechrome Goldwyrms to fit at least two auras, or if I get lucky with RBBx I can put the lit warp there). The gem setup balance for fitting the auras and lit warp etc. can get a bit tricky until you can afford the chromes to customize it fully, so you may have to do things like drop faster casting & reduced duration off lit warp temporarily or whatever to get it all coordinated. The only reason I 6S'd the carcass after I got everything else set up is I wanted two extra sockets to be able to level spare Flameblasts to 21/20. Ideally you'd get Carcass 6S/5L'd eventually so you could slap all four auras there, but that's really only if you want to min-max your available slots. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018. Alright yeah I'll try to buy the 5S 3L/2L carcass jack because I'm pretty poor. Also I'll drop the auras with reduced mana and clarity on my gloves or helm and also do that for the Arctic Armour. Thanks!

" You'll want RM on clarity if you can. I can't see your gem organization, doesn't show up on your gear, but especially once you get andvarius rings, every % of mana reservation matters in order to keep even three auras up *and* have room for AA, especially if there's still slight degen going on. The great thing about AA though is it doesn't require supports, so you can throw it into any open green socket. Hell, while levelling this build sometimes (I've done this build five times now lol) I grab an unset ring with mana regen and life and just put it there so I don't have to worry about rechroming other gear. Good luck! Any questions, I check this thread a couple times a day. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

Hey Serleth, I'm really liking this build so far and I've played it to lvl 75 atm :) My MF values are currently at 26/251 with a 5l searing touch. The searing touch is BBBBR, and I was wondering if it would be ok to switch out fire pen for IIQ and/or chance to ignite for IIR. Also, how big a deal is the lvl 23 artic armor? My defenses are pretty meh without the cwdt setup and a lvl 17 AA

" Switching the gems out is kind of your call but I don't recommend doing it, on the sheer basis that your clear speed (with pen and cti swapped out) is going to slow down from 5 minutes maps to 10-12 minute maps. You'll end up with a net total of more currency by clearing content quicker with slightly worse MF values. Save your iiq/iir for when you get the 6L. Level 23 AA isn't huge, but it definitely helps especially in higher maps with things like porcupine goliaths. Level 20 is enough, though, for most situations. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

Hey, thanks for answering the other day, pretty helpful!
Im 69 now, still squishy but doing decent damage, only 4L staff tho. One question, should I use IIR gem or fire penetration? It doesn't show in the tooltip dps so I'm wondering how it scales, or if I would be better off using IIR gem for better drops.. or maybe Conc Effect, I don't have carcass jack tho. Thanks! |

Alright I was finally able to get my build up and going, in the four maps that I did I died about 8 times. How can I make the build better? I also only have 199% IIR. I'm only able to run Clarity/Discipline/Purity of Elements at the same time.

" Stick with fire penetration for now. For details on how penetration works, go here. I wouldn't go conc effect until you have Carcass Jack, or unless you're willing to temporarily invest in Blast Radius in witch. Honestly the MF isn't as important at your level as is simply getting more levels for now, until about 80ish when it's likely you'll have at least 3.5k life (non-MF gear) and possibly Sovereignty/Influence. Once you get Carcass, if you want you can take out Fire Penetration for Conc Effect but tbh I'd just wait til you get it 5L'd. " Your AA is doing okay, another two levels will be a big help. You need to replace your gloves with a similar pair that has at least 50 life. Ar/es kind of doesn't matter, you can go full armour if you want. No idea what your current level / tree looks like atm but 16/199 is decent starting MF. You're only about 30% off 5L numbers, and that's just because you have no IIR on your hat. So, no real issues there. In order to run all four auras, you will need both Sovereignty, Influence and a level 18 reduced mana linked to your auras. (Two RMs is fine if you have to split the auras up, but both will need to be 18). And also, quality your Carcass. That will help with EB. Just keep levelling your AA as you can. Once it breaks level 16 or 17, life gets easier. Like I mentioned before this build takes a lot of adjustment if you're not used to it. It requires solid player skill to be able to straight up avoid incoming damage, and flask out of problems when you can't. That's why I run two seething life flasks and a immuno-curse granite. ____________________ For both of you: don't be afraid to drop MF for straight up survival gear with life and mana regen so you can level up past 80. There's a reason I explicitly state in my guide that it's okay to drop MF in order to level. It's difficult to grind up XP with this setup when you don't have at least the core tree complete (level 75), because you sacrifice life on 3-4 pieces of gear (two andys, dory belt, goldwyrm). Hell, in the 1 month flashback right now, I'm level 73 with 55% accidental IIR and I have absolutely no intention of sacrificing my survival gear for MF until I'm at least 82. Or, if I do want to MF, what I'll do is hit a fresh level, switch to my MF gear, and flat out not care if I die. If I manage to get above 25% XP, I'll switch back to my survival gear and finish levelling. Then repeat. Results may vary. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.
