1 month staff ball lightning [Now Transitioned to RF BL]

vastly superior? I wouldn't know honestly. But let me explain why I didn't even consider the option.

Divinarius runs 1-2 ex even now 1 week into the league. They are also map drop only which makes them quite rare at the start of the league.

Also if I was dual wielding daggers or wands I would need some way to sustain my health pool other than potions to give some reaction time for when i hit reflect. This means cloak of defiance or a life leech gem. As mentioned in my original post cloak is far more expensive and harder to obtain early on and getting 4 blue 1 red on a lightning coil is currency suicide. Life leech is a gem, and vaal pact was only 3 additional points from my builds pathing.

There is also the fact that I'm not a crit build and you don't get any built in dual wield cast speed bonus. There are nodes that grant additional cast speed while dual wielding though.

I think it is safe to say you can get a higher tooltip and more area with a dual divinarius build, but you would pay more for it and be less tanky (cloak of defiance builds don't run reflect maps, I do).

I have tried a saffel's frame, divinarius, carcass jack setup on standard. It was a good build, but far different from this build and much more of a glass cannon. I imagine dual divinarius would be even more so without spell block or the additional + res from saffel's frame.

I swapped to RF because i had currency burning a hole in my pocket and I needed a change to keep my interest in the build.

With lvl 19 gems and lvl 86 I had a 3.1k tooltip on ball lightning. Damage was very smooth and the build is quite tanky.

The only gripe I had with the build was vaal pact. This is the first proper build I have tried with it. I hate not having regen, also vaal pact alone was not enough to combat reflect maps once I hit lvl 19 gems. I had to swap lightning pen for added chaos and take a second topaz in place of my granite.

I did Oak Skillpoint Skillpoint

Bandits were oak, skill point, skill point. Alira is a fine choice too in cruel.

As far as best in slot items your jewelry and staff is where you want to spend the most currency.

Mana regen, spell damage, lightning damage, and cast speed would all be great to have.

Last I played the character I was doing RF Arc as it is incredibly easy to face roll maps.

In the end my character had a lvl 19 arctic armor, 20% chance to evade and 20% phys mitigation from armor (and of course lightning coil mitigation).

I think this will be a fine build for the upcoming 1 month, if I don't come up with anything more interesting I will do this again.
