[1.3] Daze (Arc-Stun)

What about adding the 3 knockback nodes?

Y tried, but not really needed, stun is anough. Had good fun KB + Lightning tendrils on another char though.

How about replacing lightning pen and use PCOC and 2 additional power charges - then you can use Warlords and temp chains as the 2 curses.

Lightning pen is there to stay. I don't lower big chunks of resist in any other way.
PCOC is a nice 6L option, but i hate to spend skill points on power charges. Rather take direct % crit skill nodes. Pitfall is trying to specialize in too many fields, and by doing so dropping survivability.

Yeah those are the best. Forget about Eleweak / conductivity / Assassin's Mark, a third curse is just handy for bosses or for super fast clears; you don't wanna risk in HC bloodlines anyway. Exception is enfeeble ofcourse.
- Tempchains on corrupted gloves
- Warlords-cwdt for anything nasty. + It'll trigger on reflect, VP + Extra leech ftw, and if you run MoM you will mana leech.

Hi there, thx for selling those gloves ;)
first of all, cool build and very cool guide! so much detail in it, i love it.
i think there is still room for improvement though.
For arc, and especially stun arc with shock duration i think crit is too much overkill.. you'd have to invest too many points in crit to be helpful. I'd recommend playing this arc build non-crit and focus on flat lightning dmg+shock chance. this way it should be more straight forward, which is always good in 1 month leagues.

this could be a decent stun arc build. for 1 month it provides everything you need and that at 93 points used. if you miss aura nodes you have options at the duellist next to iron grip or at the templar.. i'd recommend using storm weaver (that cold/lightning hybrid passive) it has great values!. also mental rapidity(castspeed between templar and witch) is quiet handy. with this build+quality arc you reach 50% shock chance. which should be a huge dmg boost.

Greetings,
Sacr0

Thx for the input :)

Yeah i had troubles with crit, needed 20%+ chance to be anywhere near effective. I only reached it with double weapon xx% crit chance for spells. Will definitely start out with this non crit strategy, perhaps with uber crit weapons i'll give it a shot.

I definitely like the 2x 12% lightning dmg nodes near Celestial punishment. Will change that. If i take stormweaver, I'll probably loose 2 aura's. So I'll be running Clarity + Purity of Lightning + 1 Herald. Purity of lightning will give 4% max res then i think instead of 6%.

Loose herald of ice (looks nice with stormweaver) or loose herald of thunder.

Food for Thought

thx again,

How is the build going?

Going good. Gems only level 18. But gear is rock solid. Lack in currency restricting progress atm.

- Still trying to make corrupted facebreakers gloves atm. When i get those, all pieces will fall together; herald of ice. I've alrdy put the AA in a unset ring. Resist are 50% over cap.
- Crit chance at 15%, want it up to 20%
- Will need something for +1 curse. It will probably the skill nodes.
@Minstrelshadrak
Im doing it too with the non crit templar tree.
Its really solid, but I'm only with 5link (no faster casting),
I'm using temporal chains gloves (arsenath's) instead of facebreaker's and hot+coh+warlords
got the +1 curse from the tree (4 points)
However I can't run high level arctic armour yet, i feel like paper against physical damage even with 3 endurance charges. Do you think its good to invest in + endurance charges?
I think im gonna get some shield with high armour like lioneye's remorse. Im really afraid to drop a shield.

Y works i gues, only arsenath's gives level 1 temp chains i think.

Y focus on being able to run higher AA somehow. Perhaps even ES shield.

Then the endurance charges issue is solved too. If you run cwdt-immortalcall you'll get longer duration with extra charges, but you can't rely on them.
I've run a high armor shield in the 1MHHC too, then dropped it for a sceptre. Wanted the extra stun reduce and damage. Probably best to focus on running high AA and get Life over armor.

After I finished challenges, I ran out of currency. Failed on 20 facebreaker gloves. Tried to carry 4 paying people on a piety shrine kill but messed up. Didn't even have temporal chains yet. So to learn from that, just stay patient and grind area levels you're safe untill you can fix the problems.

@Minstrelshadrak
WOW !
That is some serious work you put in.
I would love to try that, though it seems to me that single target damage won't be very good.

Questions:
1. Could a stun build work with other spells ?
2. What impact will 2.0.0 have on this build ?
3. How to improve single target damage ?

This build looks very interesting, I have a few ideas for using it with Shockwave Totem or
Flame Totem. Totems seem to have been buffed in the 2.0.0 beta, so it could work.
I tried with EK in beta, it was really good too.
Very high base damage and cast speed
