Voll got baptised aka not "evil" anymore = reason for no crit

man some people are missing some neurons
So.. characters that crit are full of sin, while those who don't crit are cleansed of 'evil'? Wtf? There is absolutely no correlation there. Especially when you take in to context Voll's equipment. Voll's Protector is Str/Int based. Voll's Baptism is pure STR based. What class would be best to wield both? That would be the Str/Int Templar class of course. What or Who is a Templar? http://www.pathofexile.com/classes/templar

He is wizened and gray, but don't let that fool you. His humble clothing hides a powerful, sinuous physique, honed by many years of hard labor and asceticism. Age has granted the Templar an older man's wisdom and tact, qualities he combines with surprisingly well-preserved physical strength.

The mighty Templar bests his foes with weapons of steel, and a shield of righteousness. His great bravery and purpose drive him headlong into the fray, disdaining risk with dogged zeal. Some might look upon the Templar's bravado as foolhardiness, but they simply do not know what it means to be a man of faith. On Wraeclast, where faith and hope are dim, he is a shining, towering beacon.

The Templar is Path of Exile's Strength/Intelligence hybrid, a perfect balance of brawn and wits. He is a skillful fighter, trained in an array of weapons, from the sharpest cutlass to the heaviest two-handed mace. He's also comfortable wielding a shield, either for additional protection or as a deadly bludgeon. In combat, this pious warrior is expert at augmenting his substantial offense with a wide range of magical abilities. The Templar is also adept at taking punishment, and he's happy to be up at the front lines, serving as a martyr and champion for his ranged companions.

I'm pretty sure Voll didn't get baptised, if he did it still has nothing to do with gaining crits. The Voll's Baptism is his weapon, his personal method of cleansing the world of evil. A method which involves bashing in the skulls of heathens, heretics, etc. basically whoever stands in his way. This weapon gets 200% physical damage at lvl 19, that's why you can't get crits with it. It's a trade off. Has nothing to do with being good or evil.

As for the contradiction between the armor and the weapon, well that was just an oversight by the dev's evidenced by these quotes:

WTF? Why would Voll have a hammer that prevents critical strikes if his torso armor gives power charges on critical strike? Not only are power charges used to gain critical chance (which is useless if you can't crit), but they obviously can't even be gained when you can't make critical strikes.

Makes no sense to have both these items linked to Voll.

Good catch Xapti, we will fix this some time soon and I'll try to keep my eyes open for any similar situation in the future.

You seem to be quite adept at pissing people off in this community. I'd chill out with the insults and quit while you're behind.
