Yes, that's exactly what will have to happen. I'll try to stay on top of all the changes as best I can by checking the trade forums and various other threads. Many, many items will be found but never linked due to the influx of new players who do not or will not use the forums. It may end up that the unique items wiki page is more up-to-date than this thread as I don't need the actual item linked for the wiki. I can just view in-game chat or screenshots of the items to get the relevant info I need for an update.

For now, I'm going to leave the list as is and I'll simply update the revised items as they are found. It's not going to be like last time when we knew that every item had changed.

Yeah its still easy enough to notice if an item is found new in OB, the old ones should not longer show up as "verified" then. (cause they dont exist in the game anymore)

Honestly, the verified system doesn't work in my opinion. If I copy and paste someone else's item into a post it should not be verified. Verification signifies that I own the item and it is unchanged since it was posted. If you look at the Unique Items list, you'll notice there are 'Verified' Items. I do not own those items. The verification has failed.

The League identifier should hopefully be our clue as to which items have been identified. If the items continue to say 'Migrating to Legacy' then we all know those items are old as there will not be a Legacy League.

So I was just wondering, most of these items are gonna be in the legacy league..?
Which means if you are in default or hardcore you cannot obtain these right?

You seem to be very confused. Let me try to explain it better.

The items in the list right now are the current versions of each item. All unique items can be found in every League.

When OB starts, the Legacy League will cease to exist. However, the items can still be found in all the rest of the Leagues.

Now, when OB starts, some of these items in the list will have changed. They may have slightly different stats or they may even have a completely different base item. When the new items are found, I will replace the items in this list with the new information.

The verification system is in place for trading purposes. It has nothing to do with which league an item can be found.

Maybe it is a little extreme but i read in patch notes that most uniqyes are redesigned and buffed (and some nerfed). I think list in first post should have big disclaimer that the stats of the items are outdated because this may create lot of confusion and mistakes in build planning.

Or even maybe yo should delete list and make all from the begginig?
I know its lot of work and you work on this lost for a long time but this is reality. Almost all uniques are 'new'.

Personally i think deleting all and make clean, new list is better than replacing and leaving outdated highlvl items for who knows how long.

This is how I usually like to do things, but I think a lot of people would be very upset with me if all of a sudden everything just disappeared. It is something to consider though and everything is still up on the wiki.

I wish I knew exactly which uniques have been changed and which have remained untouched. The last figure given was roughly half of all the uniques, but that doesn't really help.

I think (thats what I tried to say in the previous post) that after the wipe tonight all linked items (that not longer are bound to an ingame item) will change their status to sign "not verified" As long as an item did not get a valid sign for one of the new leagues, its not guaranteed to be exactly the same as a new found one.

@face: as long as the 'connection' between linked item and ingame item stays intact, it will be shown as verified, completely unrelated to who is posting it or copies the link...

The status will change if the item leaves the league (by wipe, death or sell/destroy/throwaway), most likely also when traded to another owner, and problably also when you just simply move the item around in your stash/inventory (changes of the position of the item)

I would add a note to items in the wiki, and decide about the forum post after we've seen tonight what happens exactly - maybe its self-explanatory or need also just a little note ^^
