" Makes sense they'd be under the Wands header... Which they are. Note: Wands are Ranged weapons. |

that shield seems really interesting, until you see the level requirement.
68? what the balls? it is not only a fairly bad shield in terms of stats (though it does have good resists for those who desperately need them enough to sacrifice everything else a shield offers), but it is basically unique to one, maybe two builds in the entire game. and you can't use it til 68? if it had the exact stats it does now but required 46-50ish it might see use, but once again PoE's uniques have an odd tendency to have one drawback that just completely obliterates anyone's hopes of ever using the item for anything outside of 'hey this is neat but awful' experiments. its like if rain of arrows required 31 and was just as useless as it is now, but even more difficult to even use due to a wierd and unnecessary restriction. |

I have to say that making a build around that shield is a little hard when you can't use it till lvl 68.

It can't be a lot harder than getting hold on 67 orbs of regret imo. :)

" I actually *liked* the rhyme on the Prism Guardian quite a bit when it was shared with me. I assume that was done by yourself? I was disappointed to see it so shrunk down. I hope you don't mind me sharing it: Defence is born of sacrifice Drawn from hues of men and mice A worthy trade, a noble price When blood is paid, not once but thrice |

"That.. is pretty awesome. I like all the rhymes on the items. It's nice to have that sort of.. PoEtry in this type of game. Astramentus, Death's Harp, Sundance, and Titicus Span are a few of my favorites. Although, some of the rhymes are a bit.. 'clunky'. Slitherpinch and Goldrim come to mind. |

" The reason that one changed is because it referred to the mechanics of the item (paying in blood 3 times), and the mechanics were changed. I, too, prefer the original version. Ah well. Code warrior

So the original Prism Guardian had different stats but the main idea was the same?

It used to always have exactly 3 sockets, one of each colour. 'When blood is paid, not once but thrice' made no sense when that was removed - it was a specific reference to the fact that exactly 3 gems would get blood magic through this item.
I saw a couple of alternate last lines for the poem were proposed, and I quite liked them personally, but clearly at some point someone decided it was better without the full poem. | |
" It's not a big deal when you realize starting maps are 66. This unique will become abundant I think. My Keystone Ideas: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/744282
