[1.3] 7D's Glacial Cascade Build Guide [Crit; Perma freeze; Vaal Pact; Easy Atziri] 67k*4 DPS

i wish you had pros and cons for this build for new comers. do you have any issue with reflects?

is this uber viable also?

Hey i got one question, whats your opinion on Cold Penetration vs Added Cold damage?

With Cold penetration i think you got to perma-freeze bosses, though i m not so sure.

well Flameblast as example deals a Huge amount of dmg in a SINGLE hit,
For Flameblast pen is the best. ofc.
BUT Glacial cascade hits 16x per second. so penetrating res with small amount of dmg is not as good, as adding a decent amount of dmg to every single hit. Right?

short math: Scenario: enemy zero res, and NOT calculating the Crit

Flameblast: 1hit=100000DMG -> 1hit per sec 100000DPS
adding 1kDMG from Added XXX makes it 101000
using pen 35% makes it 135000

Glacial Cascade: 4casts->16Hits per sec (using true numbers)
3186DMG (my curent DMG per HIT w/o added cold, and remember the 3186 are not pure cold!)
x16 makes it 50968DPS
now, add 1k cold dmg from added cold to the 3186DMG and multiply it by 16 again
66976DPS is what you'll get with Added Cold
using 35% cold pen on the 2002 cold dmg from glacial, makes it 2700DMG
so ull gain 700 cold dmg from cold pen, and 1k from added cold.
and thanks to the 16 hits per sec this difference is HUGE
whole 4800 DPS huge
and thanks to crit this difference grows even bigger and bigger


and i'm already perma-freezing bosses, that can be permafrozen.
btw. added cold 20% gives u 10% chanze to freeze
funfact: cold pen 20% gives u 10% Increased cold dmg (of the base cold dmg wich is 211)
so its like 20dmg added to the 2002 (Spelldmg/colddmg/eledmg from weapons and skilltree)
% on cold pen is basically useless :P

Hi, I really enjoy this build,lvl 85 atm, would u mind taking a quick look at my current gear to tell me what to improve next?

1. get a better Divinarius 50% is pretty shitty (65/95should be ok)
2.Blessed Orb your 2 diamond rings to 30%
3. get a HIGH hp belt-> 140hp+ (str/2=hp)
4. try to get more life on gear

was thinking of doing this build in the 1 month HC league. is it better for me to use divinarius + shield or just go double divinarius? i've always used a shield in HC leagues as a caster :P

depends on your playstyle i guess...
if u want to use a shield, at least use on with spell crit on it.

Do you still prefer divinarius over void batterys. and when you run void batterys or if you do, do you pair them with maligaro's and rare helm or no. The range on the divinarius does seem significant but the dps increase from the voids is pretty insane
