[1.3.0] La_Immortelles Cyclone Marauder (All bosses viable, easy Atziri, Videos, 3ex Budget Variant)

Welcome to my Cyclone Marauder Guide.

This RT Cyclone Marauder has a high focus on attack range, with the target to kill as many mobs
as possible while cycloning through them. There is no need to run back and kill any mobs. Kill all trash/rare/magic mobs the first "passthrough".
As addition this build uses a Leap Slam - Curse on Hit setup with Warlords Mark to get some mobility and defense.
Second defensive utility is a dual Cast when Damage taken setup.

I have never played a character in Path of Exile, that was so strong, stable and fun to play as this big guy here. :)

tl;dr Fun to play character (oldschool, badass Marauder), with insane damage, fast clearspeed and very good defense.

Items

Please consider the stat requirements for gems at LVL 20:
Int: 108
Dex: 151
Try to get as much stats on gear as possible, so you don't have to spent points in tree.

Weapon: Atziri's Disfavour (at least 5L)
This weapon has high range and a good damage. Perfect for this build!
Alternative: Any high physical 2H axe.

Helmet: Devoto's Devotion
Get as much chaos res/armor as possible.

Chest: Carcass Jack (5L)
High Life is preferred. Evasion/Energyshield is not so important.
Alternative: Belly of the Beast. Gives ~600 life and nice armor, but lose Area of Effect and Area Damage.

Ring 1: Mings Heart
Look out for high Chaos Resistance.

Ring 2:
Rare Ring with: life = res > flat phys > ias

Amu:
Rare with: missing stats = res = life > flat phys = ias

Belt:
Rare Belt with: life = res > weapon elemental damage > armour
Alternative: Doryani's Invitation

Boots:
Rares with: Movement Speed > Life = Resistance > Chaos Res

Gloves:
Rares with: res = life > missing stats > ias = flat phys

All together (ordered acc. to priorities):
Cap resistances
Get high life
Get high chaos resistance
Get movement speed
Get as much stats from gear!
Get damage stats

Atziri's Promise

Current Items with Gems

Current Stats

Atziri Tips
Not that hard with this bad boy. I just swapped my helmet (including gems) and used a Topaz and a Ruby Flask.
Switched items:

If your damage is too low to nuke bosses, just switch increased area of effect gem to physical to lightning gem

Map Mods
Elemental Reflect: Deactivate Hatred and Herald of Ash. Use instead Grace or Determination

Physical Reflect: Switch Melee Physical Damage -> Weapon Elemental Damage and IncrAoe/ConcEff -> Physical to Lightning
(Rares with Reflect, in non reflect maps, are no problem at. Just use Atziri Flask and nuke them).

Bloodmagic: Deactivate all Auras and switch Bloodmagic -> Added Fire

Half Reg/No Reg/Temporal Chains: Annoying but playable without any changes.

Other mods are easy to play, no changes needed.
Just remember to use the resistnace flask according to map boss. :)

Low Budget Variant

Video: 73 Dark Forest with 9k dps

I have recorded this video with a 4L Carcass Jack (removed my Curse on Hit Gem) and this beauty:

Linked Gems: Cyclone-Increased Area of Effect-Concentrated Effect-Bloodmagic
Kaom's Primacy is way stronger. But you see, maps are also with much lower dps possible.

Get a 4/5 Link Kaom's Primacy, and a 4L Carcass Jack.
Rest of the items to cap resistances, get life and some dex/int stats.
Get the missings stats from the tree. There are several dex/int nodes to take.

Estimated cost:
Kaom's Primacy 4L: 1 chaos
Carcass Jack 4L: 2 chaos
Mings Heart: 2ex
Devoto's Devotion: 10 chaos
Rare Ring: 5 chaos
Amu: 5 chaos
Belt: 3 chaos
Boots: 3 chaos
Gloves: 3 chaos
---------------------
Sum: 3ex

Credits
This Character started as Cyclone Marauder based on Vincendra's Guide (Kaoms Legacy : How to Cyclone).
I want to THANK him for the ideas and his guide. Without him I wouldn't have started a Cyclone Marauder!
So basically this is just a variant of his guide, with some changes to tree, gear and gems.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to leave a comment and discuss about the build.

I have not followed this guide at 100% but following the concept I did something quite similar. I don't have superior weaponry (high DPS) but nevertheless I am very happy with the performance. These are the two fundamental parts of my character:

The pendant to steal life and not have scares. Since I decided to use it, sustainability is greatly increased without using potions.
I'm still at the stage of testing in low-level maps, but everything looks good (and mostly fun).

Thank you very much.

PS: I'm running Hatred, Herald of Ash, Herald of Thunder and Herald of Ice XD
Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?
Nice build, see in action

Big thx GGG for this great game :)

Thanks for your feedback.
I think the reduced life of Carnage Heart is way too high. Why dont you use Bloodrage? A bad Mings Heart is not to expensive and is enough to get enough chaos resistance to manage chaos dot of ring.

Second thing is, please dont use CoH and Curse in your 6L :P Link it with Leapslam-CoH-Curse :)
You will get an amazing Damageboost if you link incr area and conc area gems instead.

nice build, workin pretty well on bloodleague!

Would like to try this build, could you post some leveling trees or explain what areas you would go to first? Thanks :)

Edit: Also, how does this do with map mods? What map mods should you avoid?
