[1.3] MASSIVE UPDATE || God of Elements : the Leap-Double Striker || Tanky || Doomsower Master
I'm sorry for my poor english..but i'm french
I NEED YOUR HELP TO KNOW IF IT"S VIABLE AND IF THERE IS A WAY TO IMPROVE THIS BUILD ! Hello exiles ! The three elements have always been a dream for you ? You'd like to be a Master of Elements ? He're is a build !
Spoiler
What my Leap Slam look like : What the other Leap/Ground-slammers look like next to you : Concept of the build
Spoiler
I'll use a physical/elemental Leap Slam. Thanks to Physical to lightning support gem, the Auras (Hatred/Herald of ash/Herald of Thunder) and the weapon Doomsower, your damage are both buffed by physical and elemental damage ! => This build have a lot of physical damage, a huge buff to elemental damage => It has a tanky passive tree (near 180% life, near 7% life regen) => Fast attacks couple with chance to freeze/shock/ignite all the enemies => A good chance to stun => 100% chance to hit The single target will be crushed by Double Strike ! Leap Slam : a great and classic clearspeed skill ! (Let's say every gem is at level 18) : => Thanks to Doomsower, it adds AoE and 50% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage. => Couple with "physical to lightning", 28% of Physical added as extra Lightning and 50% of physical damage converted to Lightning damage. => Thanks to Hatred, add 35% of your Physical Damage as Cold Damage. => Thanks to Herald of ash, gain 15% of Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage. => Thanks to Herald of Thunder, 9-142 of lightning damage is added. With +500% physical damage and +122% elemental damage, it's a huge buff to Leap Slam !
Spoiler
Notice that a high level of the gem is really important ! Yet, %q are just optional to get some stun duration. At level 18 : Jump into the air, damaging enemies (and knocking back some) with your main hand where you land. Requires an Axe, Mace, Sword or Staff. 68% increased Physical Damage 24% Chance to Knock enemies Back on hit Double strike : the greatest single target skill with a two handed weapon ! It is buffed with Physical to lightning and Auras.
Spoiler
The level of the gem is crucial and the %q added some attack speed ! Performs two fast attacks on target enemy with your main hand melee weapon. 68% increased Physical Damage Deals 70% of Base Damage The core of the build : the Auras ! The heralds are not auras themselves but pretty much the same. Herald of ash : a good way to ignite and huge overkill damage ! In an elemental damage build, it's a must. Hatred : couple with our huge buff to physical damage and to elemental damage, this skill permit to freeze mobs and to get a great buffs on your damage. Herald of thunder : a great way to "lazy" curse the enemies and it adds some lightning damage. One and only one : the best set of cours ! CWDT + Enduring cry + Immortal Coil + Increase duration
Spoiler
It's kind of the classic triggered skill which improve your survivability. Skill gems and links Weapon : Leap slam + Physical to lightning + Weapon elemental damage + Multistrike + Melee physical damage + Added fire damage
Spoiler
Doomsower adds 10% physical to fire damage per red sockets gems. Here, it's a 50% buff. A 6L is primordial. Doomsower also buff the AoE of Leap slam to 15%. Armor : Double Strike + Physical to lightning + Multistrike + Weapon elemental damage + Melee physical damage + LL
Spoiler
Why LL ? Because it's a single target skill, which means it's against bosses. And bosses may attack harder than other enemies. It's just a survivability support gem to be sure not dying. Helmet : Herald of thunder + Curse on hit + Elemental weakness + Reduced mana
Spoiler
Elemental weakness is the curse on this build. A high %q on this curse is a great buff ! Gloves : CWDT + Enduring cry + Immortal coil + Increase duration Boots : Herald of Ash + Hatred + Reduced mana + Portal/Empower GEAR Weapon
Spoiler
No other choice here : the great Doomsower ! One of my favourite weapon on this game. It adds a lot of physical damage and some attack speed. It buffs the AoE of Leap slam but also gives 50% fire damage of your physical damage.
Spoiler
Try to get the nicest roll on this item : it's the core of the build ! Finally, this is the only unique require for this build. The other stuff
Spoiler
The rings : mana leech / physical damage / resistance
Spoiler
The Taming rings are my "dreams rings" but they are way too expensive..
The belt : Elem res / physical damage The amulet : life leech / physical damage / resistance The gloves : elem res / whatever you need The boots : elem res / movement speed / armor The armor : hugest armor / life / resistance What I search on this passive :
Spoiler
=> Tank : 177% life, 6.6% life regen, 114% armor, 18% elem resistance => DPS : +500% physical damage, +122% elemental damage, +70% attack speed, 2% elemental penetrate => 100% chance to hit => Mana : 80% mana regen => Buffs : 20% increased Damage against Enemies on Low Life 10% chance to freeze/shock/ignite and +25% damage on those enemies +20% aoe, +8% area damage and +2 to Melee Weapon range 5% chance to cause Bleeding
Spoiler
This is not a choice here, but the 20% physical damage on this node are way too great to not be taken.
Normal : Passive or +8% elemental resistance (depend on your gear) Cruel : +18% Physical damage Merciless : Passive => Why a full guide when there is no char behind ? I had an idea, and i have no that much time to test it : BUT, I do want to know if it's 100% viable and if i can go for it ! => If it's a viable idea, would you add some stats/ screenshots/ videos ? Of cours i will ! I hope i'll have some replies, it takes me for ever to write this down and i'm open to ALL REPLIES ! It's far from perfect but I need your help ! You will need far more crit chance than that, other wise its better to go RT. Also, pure ele nodes are a waste. Phys damage nodes add to both your ele damage as well as you phys damage. I'd get more life unless a belly of the beast will be used.
Doryani's is far from the best belt. It gets outclassed by any good rare rustic sash, like this one. For your tree I'd consider something like this: Far more balanced tree. Of course, if you are yet to start a char for this, I recommend making a duelist with a tree like this: I'm playing a tree like this one, so I can assure you that it's completely tested. Less phys and ele damage, but more than double the crit chance and nearly double the crit multi. For try, for see, and for know.
This is a buff |

I tought groundslam only works with maces and staves... ?
|
|
" Actually...you're right ahaha ! I made this build to work with Leap slam, not Ground slam. Sorry for the mistake. |
|
Can this build be moved to "Leap Slam" builds instead of ground slam builds? Its very misleading and it doesnt even belong in the ground slam catagory.
@ OP looks like a fun build tho! Id love to try it but unfortunately for me leap slam= massive dysynch. Well done tho=P |

not a particular fan of the skills used
but the artwork is nice for the guide Let the games begin

The Socketed Red Gems get 10% Physical Damage as Extra Fire Damage modifier only applies to the actual active gem you are using, and the effect doesn't stack with support gems. |
