Sure this is above 230Pdps Wand and we can find better, but what about the 62% spell dam + 16% fire dam on it? Except with crown of eyes, is it usefull for a build? I don't try to compare this wand to a mirrored one... Hatred vs. Flat Damage Auras
In this case I'll be doing the math with Foe Bite, both with and without PPAD(PPAD also being a pretty poor choice for support gems, especially due to the less attack speed) Since almost all damage scaling on this build scales both ele and phys damage, I'll ignore increased modifiers, and mostly focus on WED and PPAD, since those are the significant ones. I'll also be operating under the assumption that all gems are level 21, since if we're dealing with a Mirrored Wand, then you can afford to do that. At lower budget levels the numbers look even worse, so I won't even mention them. I'll also ignore flat damage on gear, I know you can roll 9-15 Physical Damage on rings, but you can also roll 7-72 Lightning Damage on rings, which is just way more, so looking at flat damage on gear does just make Hatred look worse, as opposed to better. Now for the math: Foe Bite deals 165-305 phys damage/hit | 235 average/hit Wrath deals 17–267 lightning damage/hit | 142 average/hit Hatred deals 36% of phys as extra cold PPAD is 50% more phys and 10% less APS WED is 60% more ele damage Foe Bite + Hatred = 320 average damage (235 phys, 85 cold) Foe Bite + Wrath = 377 average damage (235 phys, 142 light) Foe Bite + Hatred + PPAD = 480 average damage (353 phys, 127 cold) but at 10% less APS so 432 if compensating for speed Foe Bite + Wrath + WED = 462 average damage (235 phys, 227 light) Foe Bite + Hatred + PPAD + WED = 556 average damage (353 phys, 203 cold) 500 after compensating for APS Foe Bite + Wrath + PPAD + WED = 580 average damage (353 phys, 227 light) 522 after compensating for APS The numbers are a bit closer if you compare Hatred to Anger, since Wrath does more damage than either. But no matter how you go about it. Hatred just can't stack up in terms of DPS, it's a utility aura if you're rich enough to afford a mirrored wand, and even that's iffy. As for the Spell Damage, honestly, just use Crown of Eyes, it's better than Rat's Nest anyway, you can do something like what I've done with my Wander(Can view my profile), or if you want to follow a tankier build, and stick with one of the other build guides and just use a Spell Damage Shield. Doesn't really require a specific passive tree to use properly, can get around 150-200% Increased Spell Damage on gear without much effort. Also regarding your wand, you're really missing out by not cleaning the suffixes. If you can find someone with some level 8 Masters, you should look into paying them to remove the suffixes so you can multi-mod both Attack Speed and Crit Chance. Some questions about the skill tree, having just specced into this:
-Why do we take extra frenzy charges without an easy way to generate them? I have doubts that that using frenzy on a mob a couple dozen times each map to sustain charges improves our clear speed as much as simply KBing them. If we are going to make use of it, shouldnt we get a better way to sustain frenzy? It feels like a waste not to use the charges given how overpowered they are, but its too much of a pain without Blood Dance or Blood Rage. Maybe CoH+Poacher's Mark with HoI? (Edit: Yeah, CoH+Poacher's seems like the way to go, you can keep your frenzy charges maxed out without any further investment - plus it helps your crit, mana, and flask sustain.) -Are the last two nodes in the Revenge of the Hunted wheel actually worth it? 8% eva + 4% life is fine for HC, but is probably a waste for anyone else. -Do we really need to bother with leech nodes before 6l? It feels like I could sustain my 5l with clarity and leech on my HoI, a 6l could probably be sustained with a single piece of mana leech on my gear, maybe some form of %mana regen too. Spending 3 nodes on something you could probably do with 1 node seems a bit overkill. Is it just for -regen maps? (Edit: After testing, it does seem like you'll want ~.4 leech if you want to be super liberal with your KB, a low level clarity helps but not enough. Still probably best to get this from your gear, though.) -Doesn't it make sense to grab Primal Spirit and Alchemist instead of the abovementioned leech and revenge of the hunted nodes? Obviously this is more a lategame thing considering the price of Taste of Hate, but I feel like ignoring the ability to have 100% uptime on Atziri's Promise and/or Taste of Hate is a bit of a mistake. I found using Elreon rings and amulet with a tabula rasa and using wrath anger wed was a very fun way to level starting around level 40 so you can start wanting sooner. I'm level 59 and I do about 7000 kb dps with a modest ele wand. Kb is a very fun skill to use and feels a bit like the wand version of tornado shot.

When it comes to wand if two give the same dps final then shouldn't you use the 1.5 aps rather than the one with 1.7 all other factors like critics being equal due to mana cost and the chance that and attack might miss? Based on the recent post it seems ideal to use wed and wrath rather than ppad and hatred assuming your mana leech can still sustain you. What happened to Coe low life wanders from a year ago? How much effort would it take to turn into Power Siphon? I would like to try out both PS and KB to see which I like better.
I feel as though PS vs KB could be the same as Tornado vs Split for bows. Where KB/TS are good from the get go with budget gear, and PS/SA come out on top when you have more currency to buy gear with (like a good wand/bow) Last edited by sam6555 on Oct 31, 2015, 1:00:54 PM

Just gathered some gear for this build in the Darkshrine HC event. I'm just looking to find out what cwdt setup is the best one to use. I checked oos' profile and his character has a 4R socketed evasion based gloves which is insane and I'm not sure I can get the same for the cwdt molten shell immortal call inc duration setup. I actually just managed to get 3r1g on my gloves so i guess i could use it without molten shell cause inc duration is really important i guess. Would like to have some opinion on this. Thanks!
edit: also, what's the optimal cwdt and immortal call levels? I read that Oos used a higher level one but people told me for this build the lowest lvl possible would work the best cause I want it to proc anytime I take a bit of dmg. Last edited by attiGT on Nov 10, 2015, 1:36:00 PM
