I have 33k with frenzy and around 16k with KB while fully charged (6 powers and 3 frenzies).
I think that with 90+ lvl I could easily add some dps and have closer amounts to OP, but I have enough of grinding lvl whole days, so I will stay with numbers I have now, which I think are pretty decent anyway. I'm not using Immortal Call, but have 9k evasion, enfeeble cwdt and 4k hp and I'm not dying on 74-76 maps and clear them pretty fast. While physical reflects is too dangerous, I have no problem with ele reflect (maybe because I'm not using WED as I have only 5l). The question is if for example 40k ele dmg is better than 20k physical dmg. For sure mana/life leech is better with physical. Unfortunately I don't have enough scouring to test elemental version of this build.

He's running KB with LL and BM, so he wins on life leech and doesn't need to care about mana leech at all (100% reserved, everything linked to BM). Without pierce and hatred (for bigger HoI chains), pack clear speeds are gonna be reduced. I'm also skeptical about giving up so much defense by not taking the additional 10% dodge and 30% spell dodge, as well as reducing evade with arrow dancing. All in all, I really like he dps numbers in that post, but I'd prefer to keep my defenses tight too.

Hi guys! I've made all the changes that jbm suggested and I've now doubled my dps on kinetic blast (up to 15k with all the charges and 26k on frenzy)!
Now I'm looking at ways to push my character defensive wise or offensive wise, but I don't know which pieces of gear are the weakest. I've never spent more than 5 chaos for a piece of gear that wasn't a chest/weapon before. Also, I'm running similar flasks as Oos, but how does he survive large physical hits? I'm running granite flask for that reason instead of the jade flask. Just wondering if there is something I'm missing.

http://imgur.com/Bm1tYHO As you can see, about 53K fully buffed. At 90, you could go for phase acrobatics or graceful assault (16% attack damage, more evasion and onslaught). Not 100% sure but with the dps node, it should take me up to around 60K dps fully buffed or as someone mentioned, just hit up the extra dodge nodes, either way. Here is my old physical wand: Not the best, but single target was a pain in the ass. I tried frenzy, barrage and neither of them were really effective. The full elemental route with frost wall is not only fun but practical. You don't need a single target skill like frenzy. I played the physical version up to 77 and then respec'ed the guy for 2.0. The physical version was fun but it just didn't feel good (unless you were running cells, torture chamber, dungeon etc...). If your playing the physical version now and topping out at 10k, or 12k or whatever fully buffed, you know what I'm talking about. With bosses now, I just put down a couple frost walls and go to work. It's really effective and fun. Hope this helps | |
I should say that the build is crit elemental (don't think I was clear on the prior post), not just elemental.
It uses HoI, HoT and Wrath as auras. Gems on gear are as played. the only change I plan on making is taking out added cold on vaal power siphon and putting in item rarity. Anyone have 285 chromatics? | |

I've gotta admit I'm very interested in trying this. I wasn't that interested until I saw that your jewelry is nothing special (no offense!). Until then, I wasn't sure I could afford this build.
In a 5L, you could drop WED or FA. It looks like losing WED brings you to ~33k dps, while losing FA brings you to ~42k. Those values seem pretty incredible to me, with just 12k physical at 82. I think you're underestimating pierce. It frequently seems to increase damage against bosses if they're properly positioned, because the projectile that hits them is almost guaranteed to hit the wall next to them. If I switch I'll try running without it but right now I'm a big fan. I use KB exclusively on bosses until they're low hp, at which point I'll try to finish them off with frenzy if I feel comfortable because mine is linked IIR. I wonder if it's worth it to drop HoI for AA, especially if I wear daresso's. At that point we're reaching a pretty decent 26% damage reduction from endurance charges and AA. That's a 35% boost in effective health, and a 19% boost from AA over just endurance charges. HoI is nice, but since you're not running Hatred I imagine the on-kill effect is relatively minimal and the flat damage isn't as nice as wrath or hot (or boosted by as many passive nodes). I'd like to minimize the threat from heavy hitters, and there's only so far evade/dodge can take me on that route. Could you please see how much of your 53k dps is from HoI? | |
Switched the rings / amulets around to pump out about 59K fully buffed now.
With HoI and AA, I use HoI to spread my curse around. It does it much more effectively than HoT. It can be done but it takes longer to build power charges as I'm killing so fast and HoT doesn't hit mobs offscreen, like HoI will. HoI gives about 5-6K dps. Faster attacks out = 9k dps loss Weapon elemental damage out = 17K dps loss W/O FA, attack time goes from .27 to .33 but (assuming around a 1.5 speed wand & 6 frenzy charges). So in a 5 link, you'd probably take out FA and with decent rings / amulet still be able to pump out about 45-50K dps. Also, my issue with pierce is kinda what you stated: "if the boss is positioned properly." I just don't find this method feasible or realistic. Sure, it works for some bosses but not all of them. With frost wall, you make your own wall and the explosions just bounce off where you place the wall, which can be anywhere you want (you can put up to 3 walls at a time). I'm not an expert with the game, but in my experience, pierce just makes this much harder. From the wiki (pierce): The projectile passes through the enemy and continues along its previous trajectory. This doesn't work well with frost wall and so you have to position the mobs to a wall so that pierce will pass through and then bounce off the zone wall or whatever it is. I wish I could make a video or someone with extensive knowledge could chime in on this. A good example is the lvl 77 dominus map. I go in and put up two walls and proceed to blast him where he stands. Correct me if I'm wrong but you'd have to move him around to corners hoping he doesn't warp away from the wall. This is how I remember the build you're using. It's not to say it doesn't work, I just find it much harder. Switching to frenzy for single target also seemed frustrating. This was my biggest issue with pierce. Taking out GMP and putting in frenzy: I have 75K tooltip (in a 5 link) fully buffed but it's not needed for the this version of KB. If you end up changing your guy around (assuming you get an elemental wand with 1.5 speed and around 10 crit., you'll never go back to pierce. Best of luck with it. |
