whant to see that build in high end maps

Im having trouble in act 3 normail :( i seem to die quick and have bad items, i dont know what do do. I have a searing touch but its only a red-blue link one.

I just hit act 3, and it's a bit tough for me (normal) but I don't have Searing Touch. That being said, I love this build. it is a bunch of fun.

I love fire. I did a bit different fire caster, starting as Templar. My first was an eldritch batt build but my most recent is 52 now just finishing cruel/HC league with blood magic. It makes me crazy tanky having been so close to and taken all sorts of life/regen nodes and I'm sitting at 2800 HP with barely even adequate gear. Total blast to play! I may spec out of BM much later with great gear etc but right now it sure is fun throwing down fully leveled quality firestorms with Concentrated effect/life leech/Fastercasting/Iron will(434 str atm so real nice spell damage boost) and not having to worry about mana at all. Surprisingly the damage has not felt bad at all and I'm at the point where every node or two is a DPS bump. Fun times! Glad you are enjoying your fire caster as well!

To the persons asking about firetrap...YES, it's quite awesome actually. I was able to purchase a high quality FT fairly cheap and now have it linked as such - FireTrap/Concentrated effect/Increased AoE/Increased Duration. The concentrated effect does Not effect the DoT portion unfortunately but pumps the initial blast DPS up over 1K even at my lower level. No, spell/fire damage nodes and items do Not boost the burn DoT of firetrap but Will boost the initial fire explosion. BURN specific nodes and the Searing Touch 70% Burn bonus Will boost the dot damage but I have yet to acquire one sadly. SOON I hope :D

Yup, or get the might node to the left of the witch starting tree

Me too, and thats what i love about being a fire witch. If you dont pay attention for 1 sec, you are dead. My witch is totally diferent from the Op's. Mine is a basic fireball/firestorm build. On thing to note is that i got to 1200 hp in the act 3 (merc), before that i had 900. Chaos damage always made me cry =/.

Just got my Searing Touch. Pretty happy about it to. Not perfect, it's 41% spell damage but the full 40% fire and it's iLevel 61 with 6 sockets already. Purchased for 1 exalt and 1 chaos. Not to bad imo as I had just found the exalt not 10 minutes before lol. Not sure if I'll use it just yet though as I don't have all the good quality gems I want for fireball yet. Soon though!

What about the DEX needed for LMP or GMP? where do you get the dex from?

Can someone please answer this...
