Also running into this problem, started this build for the new league, that may have been a mistake, I'm already considering rerolling to something non evasion based, its all fun and games until you get one shotted by a single zombie, it has been for the most part just huge practice in frustration, this is truly a glass cannon build.

I am guessing you have not played many evasion based bow characters. You need to roll flasks well and use them at opportune times. Look at Serleth's guide on Caustic Arrow on ranger forums, he says the same thing.

Bow builds in general as Evasion will be better than IR/armor builds, but require you to play better. Evasion DOES NOT reduce the damage of the hit, but you dodge much more. So naturally you are going to take more damage from physical hits, especially with the buff to phys damage monsters deal that came in 2.0.

TBH though, you should not be getting meleed by a zombie. And to be one shot by a zombie you need like less than 2.5k hp...

The argument between Armor v Evasion on bow builds is pretty simple. You will get 1 shot from big hits with armor it won't help much at all. With evasion you can dodge it and live or don't dodge/evade it and die. Vaal Grace + Jade Flask should basically make this a non-issue. But again, if you don't play it well, Evasion is worse. I may be using the wrong wording, it is playing "different"

Evasion is not overpowered as it used to be and I think it edges out armor on bow builds (as do others) if you play well. Not playing well, armor will edge out evasion as it always mitigates at least some damage. Spell Dodge is another thing phase acro brings too.

Start:
I know that this build is powerful. I saw it.

I spent some exa. I make this tree. How come that i die at least one time in tier 1 maps? I know that i have 3000 life. Why do you have more? 1000 more i can't get. What wizardry is this?

From where can you get chaos res since you have that many constrictions on items?

I know that i have top tier gear.

Why I die form 13% reflect?

I know that i tasted a huge disappointment since i waited to get my tornado shot build more than 6 months :(.

Don't want to put anything in bad light but my incinerate build, my 3 totem buid and my cyclone build are 1000% more solid than this :(.

Can somebody competent put me on the right track?

First off your character is private so we can't see your gear or passive tree.

3k HP IS INSANELY LOW. It is quite easy to run 4.5k with this build. I don't run chaos resistance because all chaos damage is avoidable and I haven't died to chaos damage yet. Other resistances MUST be capped.

If you are dying in Tier 1 maps you are either A) not geared well enough or B) Playing badly. This is a standard bread and butter tornado shot build, very similar to Neversink's build.

Do not do phys reflect maps with this build, it is not meant to do physical reflect maps, like any other phys bow build. Ele reflect is perfectly fine, just take out some ele gems and turn off hatred. Keep up herald of ice because it is irreflectable.

If you are playing this build like a cyclone, incinerate or a tri-totem build you are going to die, a lot. Cyclone did not take much thought, incinerate was probably the most OP skill for the past year and tri-totem is as passive as it gets. Bow builds are MUCH different and that is because it is Evasion based.

You DO have to worry about positioning but at 3k hp you are SEVERELY undergeared. The fact that you spent multiple exalts on gear to only be at 3k hp is not a good sign. you probably got ripped off massively.

You have to think about this a bit before running into an ele reflect map.

What dps am I doing?
What percent of that dps is elemental?
If it is a lot of your damage you should remove your elemental support gems and hatred for that map and run some other gems like increased crit chance/strikes, accuracy, and maybe put on a different aura like haste instead of hatred. You cannot just go into maps without looking at your damage by type. Understanding where your damage comes from is IMPERATIVE. You have to think about these things and I promise you it willmake you a better player for it.

So your gear needs A LOT of work. you spent a lot of currency on items that are not needed and are detrimental to your success. First, your chest, neck, ring 1, ring 2, and quiver do not have HP. This is a serious issue. You can get so much more HP if you itemized better.

You only have life on 2 items man (and the belt is a low tier life roll), how can you say you can't get more life?

Splendour without a life roll is kind of a waste. Gifts from above is nice, but still a waste when you lack so much life.

Look at how I prioritize my gear vs how you prioritize your gear. Note my rings were found and crafted myself amulet was self found as well.

Whatever you say man. You said you spent EXALTS, your words, not mine. With the currency you spent, you could have had a perfectly fine build. You simply don't understand the game very well and refuse to try and learn something. I tried to help you, but you don't like the answer.

You asked why you died to elemental reflect maps when you are doing 80% ele damage maps and I told you why. You ran around with 3k hp and said I CAN'T GET MORE LIFE, yet you only had 2 pieces of life gear on you and I told you why.

There is not much else I can do to help you when you refuse to accept the answers given.

Yet, you still result to insults with no correlation to real life. It is probably best that you do go to another build. This game is for people who want to think about decisions, it is not "for people who really love sugar foods".

Honestly, at this point I am pretty sure you are doing something against the TOS

Talks about 6links taking 2 months of his life. Has multiple 6links on other characters. Atziri's Disfavour, Taste of Hate, Rumi's, multiple 21/20 gems. 4% spell block Lazhwar. Yet all your gear has no life on it, terrible itemization and you don't understand how doing 80% ele damage means its hard to do ele reflect maps? Somehow acquired all that currency and gear without any knowledge of the game which usually indicates something against the TOS.

he calls his build OP because he knows how to play it and has an IQ above 80, its probably not a good build for beginners like yourself, i mean 3k health? dying to reflect? it sounds like you're just not very good. Maybe instead of looking up certain builds you should be looking up some "beginners guide" videos or something.

also looking at your characters it seems like you buy gear with actual money, i mean how sad is that - maybe instead of buying gear you should buy a few lessons and tutorials instead, spend your hard earned paper route money and pay someone to teach you how to play instead of paying for gear that you cant use because you suck

I'm pretty sure your gameplay skills are just poor. I also only have around 3k HP, and all my gears are self found in Talisman except a 200 physical DPS Decimator Bow that I bought for 1 chaos. My gears are pretty crap too, nothing even close to BiS or OP and I'm running maps with no problems at all using Grocery's build. I also don't know how you can die to 13% reflect unless you skip out life leech in his build.

My gear is 90% self found by mf build or crafted by me.

But i know how to weld, repair a computer, a water installation, make wkiskey, grow crops, take care of animals, rode a car and a motorcycle, how not to piss a woman very hard, and another things important in this life.

To understand a game who can't be played without cheats... why would I?
I only need to kill a lot... and die infrequently.
This build is expensive in fact, nobody told me that and I wasted 6 months hoping it is a nuclear blast on Atziri's head. :(

Remember: on this world automatic fire machines and nuclear blasts are the things to fear. This machine gun is a joke, and is inacceptable.
