Map Drop Rate Is Shocking
Once you're in your 70s, there's docks or maps. I haven't seen a map in 2 days, and unless a friend gets one I am just stuck farming docks because there's no point farming anything else. It's starting to get a little mundane, I've even leveled a few alts to 30-40 for fun and gems, but I want to progress my main character.
I did 3 maps few days ago, and not 1 map dropped within in and there's supposed to be an upped drop rate. Should map % increase as you level more? Does it? Or is it a flat rate once you're 66+? There's no incentive to farm anything other than maps and docks, and docks can't be viable for xp forever. I know they are releasing new Acts, and frankly that's exactly what we need because I am struggling to find motivation with the end game. |

The game is in BETA....there's still the possibility that the Maps end-game could be completely overhauled and changed. Drop rate will more than likely be something they look at. If people choose to play a game that is blatantly still in beta then they really have no place to complain. Sure, by all means, make suggestions but I imagine they have an incredibly large list of fixes and bugs that need addressing first. Things like the random DCs and other issue that prevent people playing the game full-stop, not ones that worry about a small number of people that are at the 66+ bracket.

I am not sure if quantity has anything to do with more chances for a map drop (I'm sure it does) but if that be the case, find a solid 3-6 man group to run with and share maps, that's what I did and I have yet to come close to running out. I'm even at the point where I'm (trying) to trade 2 67 maps for a 68 and so on.

Try to do maps in parties if you get the opportunity since it drastically increases the item quantity drop and so the chance of a map drop while you're doing one. Also equip +quantity items, or Item Quantity support gem on your skill(s) you land a killing blow with, if you can ofc. We run a 3man party and we have more maps than we can actually do. The only problem might be that even if we get to do 68-70+ maps there can still be chance for 66 map drops which holds progression back a bit if you run out of higher lvl ones.

" It increases drop quantity by +50%/party member so basically we could say that it increases the chance of dropping a map since its a normal quality item. |

" The +quantity from additional players does not affect my drop chance. Last edited by Thalandor#0885 on Feb 7, 2013, 11:40:25 AM
