Critique my new Browser Based RPG

Hey guys! Here are some screens below: Item looting after monster kill:

User will beable to click on each item that dropped after the monster is killed (similar to all the loot you see on POE after killing a group of mobs). That item will animate to their inventory. The HP Bar's will be updated per attack sequence with no page refresh. (Currently using Jquery with some Ajax). All the items are draggable to each inventory slot and the position is saved server side. (In fact, mostly everything is)

This is a one man show and I'm still trying to finish things and have a lot of tweaking left to do. I'd love your opinions and any criticism at this point can only help me. I removed the name of the game as I don't really care for advertising at this point, nor want to be seen like I'm shamefully promoting myself. I'm honestly looking for some genuine replies. Appreciate it.

Edit: Also, I want to add similar functions like the Chaos Orb as well. But it would be of course, a new item name. Not trying to COPY ARPG's, but I do look at them as inspiration for ideas.

Edit2: Btw, here is the video showcasing the loot explosion animation. (not really an explosion, but you get the idea).

lunar rock or moonstones ?
nice little project, what is the story ?

Addicted to ARPG's / gaming since my childhood. Gradually grew up learning some web languages on the way. Decided to do something that lets me express my passion for games. Plus, it's really fun to create game mechanics. The possibilities are endless. The only issue is though, I am so limited with the combat, I don't want that to scare of potential players. I'm trying to make the combat as fluid as possible with loot fading in / out on monster kill, animations of loot moving to their inventory, etc.
Hopefully that eases up the tension of the awful combat system (e.g. just clicking a button). But then again, it is a web based text rpg.. But I feel like I can add a better combat system in the future.

Edit: Moonstones is a great name for a potential new item! Thank you :)

When i was in high school i created a dungeon crawler completely filling the memory of the graphing calculator i made it on. I lent it to a friend for christmas vacation and when i got it back the memory was wiped:/

Make back ups man. Back ups.
For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

No kidding, thanks. I will back this baby up!

Just an update. I posted this on reddit in /r/gaming and it started to go viral but then it got removed for breaking rule 13? Weird.

Anyways, here is the video showcasing the loot explosion animation. (not really an explosion, but you get the idea).

Looks nice.

Only feedback I can give from the screens: A bright background color does not fit imo. It's probably just filler right now but consider using a dark grey or a nice, fitting picture.

Thanks!

Are you suggesting maybe a light grey background color or something other then white right? Haha.

Rather play PoE, thanks.

Plus, seeing as you can't understand simple game mechanics like the recent change to Atziri's gloves, I don't think I would trust your ability to properly balance a developing game.

That is my critique. :)

I'd rather play POE too! In fact I got most of my motivation from poe, and Chris Wilson's reddit post giving me a compliment of the game. And d2 too.

Thanks for the honest feedback though. I do apologize for the acuity gloves misinterpretation.

Hey guys, just an update on how things are going:

Here is a gif of the new Blacksmith and how we will beable to create runewords, add sockets, enhance the item level, etc. All done and saved serverside.

(Quality is awful, and it's not that laggy in real time).

I'm trying to implement combat from this game: http://treasurearena.clay.io/

I think that kind of combat for a rpg browser base game would be amazing. I already have the network infrastructure and server side crap down. I'm just looking for a very simple combat slash system.

Here are screens of battling Chris Wilson and Oprah Winfrey:

Another attack animation. Basic SVG attack bar's hitting the monster portrait.. Nothing special yet.
