Magic/Rare/Unique Monsters -- Immune to Status Ailments??
I have the same experience, no shock status on magic and up monsters and I find this mechanic rather confusing:
The chance to shock is only based on the lightning dmg done, which has to be more than 1% of the mobs life for 276ms, so around 1.1% mob life to get at least 300ms and the shock ailment. What does the +% shock on hit do? I thought it would reduce the needed dmg done to get the shock ailment eg.: only 0.5 % of mob hp as lightning dmg for 276ms. If this is not the case, the +% shock chance seem rather useless and the +% shock duration way more useful. If I got something wrong, please correct me. | |
" Normally you can ONLY shock an enemy if you crit them, but if you have 20% chance to shock, then when you hit an enemy it will have a 20% chance to try and shock the enemy, regardless of if it was a crit or not. Shock duration is separate from chance to shock. If you deal 2% of the enemies life with lightning damage, and shock them, then they will be shocked more ~500ms. If you have 50% increased shock duration then that would be ~750ms. Last edited by Tyronis3#2327 on Feb 7, 2013, 8:34:12 AM

" So there is a requirment for a crit roll + the 1% of monster hp normally? I thought only the 1%, thanks for clearing that up. Then it makes more sense to stack +crit instead of hit. |
