That's just plain wrong. Dual wielding gives 15% more attack speed which translates to 15% more CoC procs (if your 2nd wand is as good as your first wand. Otherwise you might actually lose dps).

Was wondering about that too. Maybe a shield with spell damage & crit chance/crit multi would be better? It could also give you some more resists/ES/life.

Build looks great though!

So we turned Gorge into a red map"
Since I was looking this up anyway, thought I might post it. Approximate Unique prices for Standard:

Infernal Mantle
* 4L (1 - 2 chaos)
* 5L (2 - 3 ex)
* 6L (20 - 30 ex)

Pyre: 1 chaos

The Three Dragons
* < 4L: 2 - 4 chaos
* 4L: 4 - 10 chaos

Atziri's Promise: < 1 chaos

I initially thought he uses 2 wands becuause of Dark Arts cluster to gain more ASP, but he doesn't spec into it -_-

So yeah, there isn't really a reason to use 2 wands, at least I don't see one. Dual-wielding wands does not double CoC proc rate.

Hybrid ES/life shield with a lot of spell dmg and spell crit should be a huge improvement for this char.

Yeah Fixed that, a shield would be better. I'll be doing atziri with a shield.

Also tree updated for more dps
Btw beacuse Aztiri can't be shocked you could swap the helm to Malachai's Simula :)
(no chaos damage in the last fight)

It would allow you to run more auras like purity of fire/lightning without the troll mantle additional spell damage (full/low mana don't trigger with blood magic).

With your specs i would go Saffell's Frame/Malachai on the last fight.
ES shield with spell damage/spell critical on the rest.

Optimized Tree, added shield
cool stuff. Now wouldn't you want the power charge from the bandits? Or is it hard enough keeping up 5 with HoT? Also what seems to be better using a shield or dual wands? I also wasn't quite sire if you actually do use the 3d helm or just use a rare es one?
It seems that in Standard on poe.trade it would be also impossible to get good crit wands comparable to the ones you are using - the cheapest one similar to your first one (11% crit, 60%+ spelldamage, 80+% crit to spells) costs 4ex (-_-)

I found out that I can shock mobs with Herald of Thunder's additive damage alone, I switch to Flamesurge to replace my Ice Spear vs bosses to shock them.

Also got a new wand and a shield
