Velvet's elemental buzzsaw {crit} ~ Atziri deathless/map clearing 1.3 Updated!

@Sultangurde

You should cap your resists. Period. Doesn't matter if you do it on your jewels or somewhere else, you can't build a char without capped resists. But any decision that you will make, I can help you craft it.

Ark if you haven't please read my previous reply after your last post.

I finally said screw it and invested some chromes in shuffling things around. Changed my gloves for Maligaro's and changed ICS gem for FA. This is the result:

ST - LMP - FA - Leech - WED - ICD setup:

29.829 DPS -> 4.8 APS -> 64% crit chance
35.851 DPS -> ....... -> 82% crit chance (with 4 power charges)

I estimate 39K DPS -> 91% crit chance on 6 power charges (although personally I don't think I will be going in that direction)

I do have some mana issues at the moment but this might just be the winning option. Oh well...

Regarding the FA discussion:
The most important thing (rigth after auras) is reaching crit cap. When you crit you will one-shot, if you don't crit you won't and have to attack a 2nd time. When going FA, you will attack faster, but the amount of needed follow up attacks will drastically increase. Therefore your clearspeed will actually go down, even though you have higher tooltip DPS.

That is 100% true but it is not the full truth :) When mapping solo it just feels perfect to have capped crits and a good accuracy rating since every hit will kill white packs (even on high end maps). But this does not apply to magic/rare mobs and for sure not to uniques. Also, when mapping with 5 other people good luck 1-shotting mobs. That is when higher DPS shines. On top of that faster attacks makes everything seem more fluid. Sometimes when fighting a tough boss you have to hit one or two volleys and move. With FA this just feels much better.

Your point is still valid though: 1 volley with a crit is more effective than 2 faster ones. But it doesn't always come down to this.
Alright cold res then:)
But i play on Torment and i see all Your characters are standard.
Well I've opted for another tweak in the tree. Dropped the celestial illuminati triangle and the life+ES at shadow for those fancy crit+accuracy and life clusters also at shadow. This is my current tree now. Also took VP because you seem pretty hyped about it and I've never really tried it. Now to find a reflect pack, and see how does it work.

Also noticed my chance to hit (in character sheet) was absolutely awful. Like 65% awful. Not a single accuracy roll in my gear, and nothing from tree either. Now I'm up to 74% with the tree change. Probably not really what you'd want to have at my level but oh well, it'll do.

Also swapped VHaste for a manual cast AM. I'm at the edge of sustainability with GMP-FA as it is, I doubt I can put VH to use. Maybe by mixing HoT-AM with the self cast charges get a bit easier to get/maintain.

Edit a couple hours later:

Swapped one of my rings for a diamond I had in my stash. Still no WED on that slot but it's definitely an upgrade. The resistances we get in templar area made it possible. I can swap my amulet for one with less INT aswell but I haven't seen anything worth my money as of now.

Accuracy up to 76% now (+2% wow!), GMP dps from 19800 to 21100 and LMP 29000->30300. Haven't checked crit chance with all charges in game but maths say I'm almost at 90%.

I would strongly recommend to use LMP at those DPS levels. LMP is also a lot less mana hungry, so you migth be able to sustain vaal haste again.

On the topic of mana sustain: I highly recommend getting 1-2% of phys damage leeched as mana. The physical damage is not high by any measure, but it's just enough to help out. That is also due to the fact that about 85% of my mana is reserved (95 effective mana pool) and I don't need to leech so much mana.

For example, now with my recent shuffle I can barely shoot 3 volleys with GMP before running out of mana, but in maps I hardly ever run into trouble because of it. And curiously GMP seems easier to sustain than LMP (more leech?).
If you hit more monsters you will leech back more mana, so GMP might actually be easier to sustain than LMP (never tried myself since no 20/20 GMP and too low DPS). Main reason for this effect is that the total physical damage is really low, so that you don't hit leech cap even when using GMP.

Hello SFXisMag1c thanks for this perfect guide am still in the middle of this build my self am still 85 level with some gem that are almost 20 most of my gems are 20/20, my only problem sometimes is that am too lazy to cast Endu Cry + IC and most of the times i pay for my lazyness with deaths still i love the self cast combo 2 more points in Increased Durasion and 20/20 my gem and i will be fine;p but overall this build is amazing and i think we can use some new videos if you have some spare time to show as some play style,tricks and tips.
Thanks for this guide again. Keep up the good work!!
Well the main reason why I dropped VHaste isn't actually mana, but rather that I'm a highly unefficient player and forget it's even there. The bulk of my map pool are 73-74s and it doesn't take much to melt mobs, so 20k GMP is plenty. For tougher bosses/maps I do switch to LMP.

My unefficiency might also be the biggest reason why I'm not a fan of HoT-AM, since you need to move fast between packs to keep charges up.

About the self cast AM, it's not a big deal but it does help with charges here and there. I can't say it's better than VHaste, but like I said I wasn't even using it.

A new issue I'm facing is I'm down to ~3.7k unreserved life with all the ring/tree changes. I'm considering switching to a sick-rolled belly of the beast I had in an abandoned character, that'd put me up to ~4.3k. Less effective life vs physical than with a lightning coil, but could be an upgrade overall.
