Velvet's elemental buzzsaw {crit} ~ Atziri deathless/map clearing 1.3 Updated!

Thanks for the build :D
Great build,

How are you generating the power charges on this build?

Thx
Power Charge on Crit ?
@RoyalToeJam
Thank you sir, hope you find the time to try it out and have fun with it!

@Inox84/Azial
I use 'Herald of Thunder' linked with 'Curse on hit' and 'Assassin's mark'. I used PCoC in 1.2, but now the 'Increased Critical Strikes' gem has been buffed and is a worthy addition.

Also, I should say I finally got the time to update the entire build and I hope I covered everything there was to say: skill tree changes, gear/gems/playstyle discussion etc.

The skill tree section was expanded and contains my skill tree as well as other variants for scion such as: evasion based with CWDT (instead of active IC), max range scion, min mana reserved scion etc. I have even included a leveling guide (for scion) and my recommended shadow and ranger trees.

Hope you guys enjoy it and feel free to post here/contact me if you find any errors or have any question.
A small update:

I was looking through my stash for whatever reason and I found:

Nowhere near perfect that's true, but with it I have 23.3K DPS in town, 28.5K with 5 power charges and I am capped at 42K DPS when I add Atziri's flask and Vaal Haste (obviously, everything is with LMP). And my new gems (HoT and ICS are level 17, no quality). Almost back to my former glory :)

PS: I can actually sustain LMP with no problem without a mana regen mod on my amulet (previously I had an impressive 58%). I makes me want to test exactly how little mana regen we would need :-/
Can you kill atziri with a 5-link?
Also, what about using a voll's protector?

Atziri with a 5L? Yeah I guess, since the only thing that would change is the DPS. It will just take longer, and the longer it takes the higher the chance to make mistakes. But it is for sure possible.

Voll's Protector? Well the pro is that you have a 7L (or better actually) on your main attack. Obviously when generating power charges Voll's > PCoC > HoT. But the downside is that you have no good defensive stats: no life, no resistances, no high evasion/armor and on top of that you have less mana. If you can balance everything with it (4k+ hp, capped res etc.), then it's a great addition to your offensive capabilities. I just think it causes more problems than it solves :)
Title updated (lols). I just realized it had the same title from 1.2. Anyway how is everyone progressing?

Recently I haven't had much time, with the holidays and all, but I am leveling up my char a bit. Doing maps is a breeze now, and honestly I feel the char is so much more survivable with vaal pact. What are your thoughts?
Why are you not skilling Celestial Judgement + Punishment?
Pupicitas: lv. 100 Shadow
[2.1] Guide for Life based Crit Dagger Reave Shadow: /994474
EU Officer of Umbra Exiles: /732431

My rationality:

-> Celestial Judgement - 3 point investment for 32% ele dmg and 2% ele penetration.

-> Celestial Punishment - 3 point investment for 14% ele dmg, 25% ele dmg to frozen/shocked/burning, 5% chance to apply the above.

Judgement really doesn't tempt me, I don't see how 2% ele penetration affect anything outside of pvp. So it's pretty much like grabbing 3 nodes near shadow start (obviously better but comparable).

Punishment is a very nice concept but with 95% crit we apply all status effects anyway and the other thing is this: mobs that get these effects die very quick anyway (so you are likely to shock a weak mob, even though it can die in 1 or 2 hits. But stronger mobs don't get these effects and some actually are immune, eg: Atziri).

Those are my own thoughts, but feel free to try them yourself if you wish. In the end, it's just a 3 skill point variation from the standard.
